Hi all I and Pam would just like to thank roymattblack for this. Very kind of you. I was looking at our hols pics and it dawned on me just how quickly things can change, this is Pam 48 hrs before She won't let me take a pic now but she went from the vibrant funny person you see there to laying on her back unable to do anything with out a lot of pain in 48 hrs, live life in the now, you don't know what's round the corner.

Thanks I'm just glad I'm fully house broken and can wash iron cook and clean house, we'd be in real trouble otherwise.

Well I'm pee'd off with hospital gp agrees she should have stayed in, but that she seems stable enough now, what I'm really pee'd off with (my daughter in law is a Physio) we should have been given things like a bit you put on the loo to make it easier for Pam to get on and off the loo also the couch, they should have assessed our house for her to get around, for instance (a new experience for me) I had to shower Pam this morning, with a broken back an standing in the shower, she was being very brave but it hurt her a lot ( becky my daughter in law says we should have been given a chair which sits in the bath so she can sit down also a non slip matt) I thought I had a great idea and would use one of the plastic chairs from the garden but it won't sit stably in the bath, I'm really quite cross. I'm now going to make a seat which fits over the top of the bath out of an old kitchen work top.

Hi all got back from hols yesterday and at 5 this morning my missus lept out of bed with cramp then decided she needed the loo, then I heard a crash lept out to find her unconscious on the floor of the toilet with blood pouring from her head, I phoned an ambulance and after about 5 mins she came round and was very confused, the paramedics arrived then 2 more then an ambulance they managed to get her down the stairs on a special stretcher, she's broken a vertebra in her back got crush injurys to her back and concussion, but, they still sent us home said it's a stable fracture, I've never seen her in so much pain, I have to say I was scared, don't know what I would do without her.

Wow that is really special, absolutely one of the very best dios I have seen, incredible attention to detail and the quality of the build is amazing.

need help and info I am building the most famous model t of all

I don't know what scale the kit you have is, and I don't know much about armour but I'm pretty sure you can buy tracks for 1/35 tanks, most car kits I've bought are 1/24 25 so I recon that may be, however you could cut down the 1/35 tracks to suit, I know I was building a 1/24 dio and needed a bulldozer in that scale (they wanted over 100 quid for one in that scale) so I bought a1/16 bulldozer for 12 quid and cut it down. -
Hi all well this is as far as I'm going to get on this at the moment as I need some dry transfer letters but we're on holiday from Friday and I won't be ordering them till we get back I think that's all that needs doing on this now, I always knew the paintwork was never going to be great as that's why it's all the colours it is but I have to say I'm quite pleased how it's turned out. It must have been a huge car as in the last pic you can see its next to a 1/16 VW and it's longer, for a 2 seater car I think it must have been mahosive.

Hi all well I'm calling this done I've tried sorting the doors, one shuts okish the other I saved the hinge too much and got glue on it so now it's permanently open, I've decided only to look at the good bits I consider I've done on a kit, rather than look at the bad so I'm really happy with the paint job on this, it's super shiney and level ( painting is always my worst bit) so overall I'm happy with this build.

In the start of the film before he's driving one in these colours but is thinking of leaving and they tempt him to stay by giving him the blown black one he uses in the rest of the film.

Main force patrol is from the film mad max it was set in the future (would be the past now) where crime was rife and main force were the understaffed police force Max was the best of the best and his wife and child were killed by a bike gang and he went out a killed all of them (that's a very brief synopsis of the film, and I mean very breif) there were more films to follow but the first was by far the best and it starred an unknown Mel Gibson, not so unknown now.

Another quickie

Hi all here is a little update on this one.
-
Yep a very talented actor, loved him.
-
He sort of is, it's my daughters dog, I say that we seem to have him more than she does, we don't mind he's adorable, she paid 1200 quid for him and it turned out he wasn't pedigree, they got their money back and the woman was kicked out of the kennel club (aparently she's done it to loads of people) he's a beautiful dog and we love him, his name by the way is frankie .

I cant really see how I could fit it there, but yes that's what it's supposed to be, I did think of the later films where there was lots of spikey things and lots of weathering on the car, which would help with the rubbish paintwork, but I love the style of this car and couldn't bring myself to spoil it.
-
Hi all maybe this will help, lots more of these on the sides, not this car in the movie
-
Hi all well i had a problem with this when I started it, the paint reacted with the plastic and no amount of barrier coats or anything else seemed to sort it so I decided to just build it as best I could, but then found the decals fell apart and what didn't, didn't stay on when dry even whist spraying gloss coat on them to seal them the air from my airbrush blew them off so I stripped it all off again and decided to do something totally different I know the paintwork will never be great but hopefully the differing colours will help to hide it, so,,,, can you guess who drives a car like this.

Hi all this is shelved till I feel less like binning it ( this is becoming a regular habit)
-
Hi all I've my scrap draw is full and there are too many usefull bits on these models to bin so this is how I'm storing them till such time as I find a use for them, also I've dug some of my stalled builds out with a view to doing something completely different with them ( better than just wasting them.

That is some very, very impressive modeling. -
Why is it I seem to be able to ruin even the best of kits, I thought this was going to be one of my best (spraying always seems to be my achillies heal and this was perfect) but it's gone down hill since then, I am so cross I could hurl it in the bin, it is taking super human will not to, the doors don't fit well (that's why the doors are open) the chrome trim won't stay straight yet another kit ruined, and I thought I was over my bad spell, I recon I've got the bad modeler gene.
-
Hi all well i ruined the rear window, got glue all over it, then panicked tried to get it off had glue on my fingers and got some on the body. It's not perfect but will have to do I think I will be able to hide some of the glue marks on the body one mark is under the door handle so when fitted hopefully it won't notice and the other I think I can polish out.

Thanks Wayne glad you like them
