  1. Hi all well it's finished, not great but not rubbish either, wish I was better at this but at least it's presentable, I think I'm on the right track, I'm quite pleased with the paint job, quality could be much better but I like the style of it And as you can see I'm running out of room maybe time to start binning stuff
  2. Hi all nearly there now, I know the tyres are a bit narrow but they are all I have to fit those rims. IMG]http://i64.tinypic.com/ip4nzr.jpg
  3. Hi all here's tonight's bit.
  4. Superb work as always harry
  5. Hi all here is another little update, that mast is not glued in yet just positioned to see the effect, I've seen where people do the ratlines on the upper masts before atattching the mast, to me it looks easier than having to try it whilst attached to the ship.
  6. Hi all well I've made a bit of a booby on this, tried polishing the paint to get a better shine and on the side I polished through to the primer a bit so will have to get some more pound land silver, anyway here is the latest update. This kit seems to be going together very well, all seems to be a good fit, I must admit she's a beautiful looking car, not really surprising it was designed at the peak of American car design, before all car manufacturers started to build cars that were indistinguishable from their rivals, I love this period and before when you could tell one car from another at 300 yards, whereas nowadays you have to get within 10 feet to tell if it's a Ford or a Citroën.
  7. Ha ha, though that dose give me ideas for the future, a 3 wheeler camaro um should the one wheel be front or rear.
  8. Hi all well since I've finished the 32 ford I'm tentatively back on this, the first thing I noticed(which when I put it away I didn't was the jib was quite a bit off centre, no amount of gentle twisting would straighten it so I bit my lip and cut it off. The guilding on the top rails was rubbish so that's been given another go, still not happy with it but will live with it for now also added a bit more deck furniture. Removed some of the wash from the transom sort of better we will just have to see how I feel after I've lived with it for a while, I may still strip it, I'm feeling better about it anyway.
  9. So far so good, well apart from trying to Polish the silver and going through to the primer (oops) now I will have to get some more silver from the pound shop.
  10. Hi all well it shows how much notice my missus takes of my modeling, since I was sat right by her on the couch whilst painting this, she said "did you paint those dragons or are they transfers " I said "yes I painted them, I know they're rubbish, I'm going to spray over them" she said " don't you dare, they're fantastic" go figure. Anyway here it is done. Wish I'd done a better job but looks like I'm stuck with it the way it looks now.
  11. Hi all, well I thought I was getting there(I always knew the paintwork was rubbish but I can and will be spraying over that) this is turning out to be another failure the instructions show the door latch pointing down (don't, point it upwards, it won't clear the gap in the inner door skin) admittedly that's not down to me, that's the instructions, however I cannot get the doors to open (whatever glue I use shutting the doors puts stress on the hinges and forces them off, also the gap around the door is horrendous( I wish I hadn't cut them out) all in all another ruined kit, the kit it's self is great, it's the idiot putting it together. When I respray it, it will be one colour, hopefully it will look better for that, still a few bits to put on it but I can't see them doing much for the overall model.
  12. Hi not much of an update but I've been very busy of late.
  13. Hi all I went to Hunstanton at the weekend at our friends caravan, whilst there I went into a cheap shop up there (can't remember the name of the shop but it's on the corner before the model shop) I bought a selection of paints, I tried some on some spare plastic and it seemed OK so I tried it on this kit, I'm amazed with the result, this paint is 1.50 a can, I've used no Polish and there is no undercoat (admittedly it's on white plastic so can't really say weather it's good coverage but this is only one coat) I think for 1.50 it's amazing (and there's very little smell.
  14. Thanks for the kind words. It's humbroll number 52
  15. Hi all, well here is tonight's bit, can someone tell me why this car has 4 peddles, never seen that before, I'm guessing handbrake?
  16. Look forward to seeing someone else do a great job of this kit, I know given the Harry treatment it will be a stunner.
  17. Hi all off to hunstanton over the weekend so no modeling, but this is what I'm thinking for the interior of this, do you think it will go with the silver or should I do some orange or gold hi lights, also should I leave it as cloth or satin finish it.
  18. Hi all here is tonight's bit.
  19. Hi all another update on this one.
  20. Hi all the engine is complete, I must say this is a really great kit, part fit is good, the chrome plating is also very good, and the detail is excellent, I would recommend this to anyone.
  21. Hi all here is the next update, this has working steering, it's a very nice kit to put together.
  22. Hi all well my son came round today for a bbq (his sisters birthday) and I showed him this he said there's only one colour scheme for a camaro and that's black and yellow, I said no this is the older version but he gave me a lecture about how at the beginning of the film he had the older version it only transformed to the new on later in the film. Anyway it's my model and this is how it's staying, here's tonight's bit.
