  1. It sure is pricey for that scale (1/50). Wish they had it in 1/25. I tried to build the one from Italeri but ended up in the trash can. Failed project.
  2. Steve, this is how I found the photo on the net. You see at the bottom of the photo some info but when you go to that site I can not find this truck.
  3. I like the gray one more. Did you paint it or is that the molded in color?
  4. Jim, you forgot to draw a nose on your Avatar
  5. This is actually an old kit released through the years as a Snap Tite kit. These photos show earlier releases of your exact same kit (molded in different colors). Why now the box says "glue required", beats me. Probably a marketing strategy to attract veteran kit builders. I've built four of these kits without glue.
  6. I think it would look perfect with the Kenworth. Did you know you won't need glue for this Kenworth?
  7. That green and red will look great. Been planning to do that color combination myself.
  8. Man you did great job here. It just looks great.
  9. Nicely done! One of my favorites.
  10. And I'm not a good painter.
  11. Car toys! man, I had them all. I was a car guy since I was born. Hot Wheels were special to me. Here's a few I had.
  12. Try Jerry at: modeltruckin.com http://www.modeltruckin.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_142&products_id=762
  13. He's doing something wrong. He's painting a military helicopter red.
  14. Monthly report. Started painting today. The brown part should be more like a gold color but I want to match the decals which turned out brown.
  15. I also grew up playing with the original Hot Wheels. This is a great idea of yours. These you have done so far look great. Want to see more! Just for fun, have you thought about putting one in a blister pack like the original little ones?
  16. Most of my builds are painted like the box art.
  17. Man this is a great build!! Love the rear set up. And the front axle is awesome.
  18. Hey guys, that grille is made of pure gold! Give him a break.
  19. Not me. I built mine. Tires were okay.
  20. Monthly report. All parts that will have same color are assembled and readied for paint.
  21. You must remove all paint from parts where glue will be applied, either by sanding or with a blade. If you don't, the glue will do that and take a lot longer to dry. I assemble all the parts I can and then and only then I paint them.
  22. They were made mostly for that purpose. After all the DM stands for "Dump" and "Mixer". There was the Mack R600 (and a Mack U) which was a toned down version for vans but I don't know if the DM800 had a toned down version.
