  1. Wow that Chevy looks great Mark. Sometime ago I messed up a white job by using Testors High Gloss Enamel. The thing has a yellowish tint. Didn't know it then. I thought that the "two part system" meant that I needed some coat of something before applying the actual red.
  2. Did you see Sean's? It is a nice one.http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/109982-bj-the-bear-kw/#comment-1566787
  3. Thanks Tom. So I don't need a primer or anything else before I spray the red?
  4. Bought one of these today. The label says," Two part system. Base + Clear required". What exactly that means?
  5. ?????? WOW Sean, this is outstanding. That front grill is neat. It does bring back memories of one of my favorite shows.
  6. It's a great website. That's one of the sites I used for reference. BJ and The Bear is my next project by the way. I have the kit and decals.
  7. This is a hard color to match. I would say both are Ok.
  8. Thank you all. It was a nice project. Thanks for the link Mike.
  9. Thanks Pruitt and Will for such a great show. New fenders (not accurate though).
  10. Go here now: http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/109782-movinon-kenworth-done/
  11. Finally done. The quarter fenders will probably go. Don't like them.
  12. The paint is Model Masters. It's actually a flat green. Followed by three coats of Testors High Gloss Clear. Maybe this is the one you are talking about. The plate on the battery cover says" WI".
  13. Suspension and engine are stock. It's not completely accurate but close enough.
  14. A Classic!! Absolutely great looking. Just like the box art. Dust free cabinets are my way too. If it won't fit in my dust free cabinet, I don't build it.
  15. Thanks guys!! Everything is from the Revell Of America Aerodyne, except the sleeper. I just patched the back of the cab. The sleeper fits perfectly on the frame base with only a minor cut on the floor.
  16. Getting there. Made out of a Revell Aerodyne. Sleeper from a Revell of Germany Kenworth.
  17. A favorite of all time, General Lee. Lots of nice silver trim. Excellent work. I got one still in the box.
  18. Man you do some nice trucks!!!!
  19. That's my type of truck. Beautiful!!
  20. Time flies. Next Sunday (Jan 3) is my 30 anniversary also.
  21. Gotta love the 60s choppers. I got the Franklin Mint one. Yours looks excellent.
  22. Hey Sean, "been there, done that myself". Looking forward to this one. Do you have a visor for it?
  23. Really, Really nice rig! A model you don't see often.
  24. Movin On version. But this project is not "movin on " at all. I'm stuck here because of long hours at work.
  25. How can you guys take them apart after they are glued?? This is one of my favorites restores from Dave (towman1271).
