  1. That green and red will look great. Been planning to do that color combination myself.
  2. Man you did great job here. It just looks great.
  3. Nicely done! One of my favorites.
  4. And I'm not a good painter.
  5. Car toys! man, I had them all. I was a car guy since I was born. Hot Wheels were special to me. Here's a few I had.
  6. Try Jerry at: modeltruckin.com http://www.modeltruckin.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_142&products_id=762
  7. He's doing something wrong. He's painting a military helicopter red.
  8. Monthly report. Started painting today. The brown part should be more like a gold color but I want to match the decals which turned out brown.
  9. I also grew up playing with the original Hot Wheels. This is a great idea of yours. These you have done so far look great. Want to see more! Just for fun, have you thought about putting one in a blister pack like the original little ones?
  10. Most of my builds are painted like the box art.
  11. Man this is a great build!! Love the rear set up. And the front axle is awesome.
  12. Hey guys, that grille is made of pure gold! Give him a break.
  13. Not me. I built mine. Tires were okay.
  14. Monthly report. All parts that will have same color are assembled and readied for paint.
  15. You must remove all paint from parts where glue will be applied, either by sanding or with a blade. If you don't, the glue will do that and take a lot longer to dry. I assemble all the parts I can and then and only then I paint them.
  16. They were made mostly for that purpose. After all the DM stands for "Dump" and "Mixer". There was the Mack R600 (and a Mack U) which was a toned down version for vans but I don't know if the DM800 had a toned down version.
  17. Thanks Clifford. That Mack looks a lot better than the Freightliner. Thank you for the nice photos and info. Now I like the Mack better but they are out of production I think. Anyway, I placed an order for the Freightliner already.
  18. Has anybody bought one of these? I would like to read comments (opinions) or reviews on this model.
  19. Hey Gino, I wanted so much to buy one of these Franklin Mints Freightliners but they were so expensive that I just gave it up and built a less goodlooking ( and less expensive ) one in 1/25. Yours is one of the best looking models out there.
  20. That's a great tribute to your father. Well done!
  21. Thanks for posting this. It was great. The racing game Grand Prix Legends game was made to simulate this season, 1967.
  22. Compared to the way most people drive now, maybe those self-driving cars will make our roads safer.
  23. The California Hauler is not a Snap kit. It's a regular glue kit and a great kit, very detailed. A higher skill level. It's actually a re-release from the original kit from the late 60s.
