  1. Got it! It's Stevie. Now, who played keyboard on it?
  2. And you can act real rude and totally removed And I can act like an imbecile
  3. No, it's not that kind. Its roots lie in the pre-flopper era of funny cars. I suppose, if one wanted, it could be built tilt-body. This would probably involve cuts and alterations to the interior "tub."
  4. Happy little day, Jimmy went away Met his little Jenny on a public holiday A happy pair they made, so decorously laid 'Neath the gay illuminations all along the promenade
  5. Der Kommissar? I don't remember the band but that's a rockin' little tune. Was it Falco?
  6. Bam! Gimme All Your Lovin', ZZTop.
  7. John Campy Cougarmelon, Hurt So Good
  8. Oh Girl, Chi-Lites.
  9. Dirty Work.
  10. Just took a look. No markings on the box, nor on the body nor the plastic bags inside. It's VERY cleanly molded in a white/offwhite resin, and came with a (unplated) rear bumper and grille insert, and clear red taillights. Everything you need to "convert" a common AMT/MPC '72 GTO to a '68, provided you don't mind a '72 interior in it. (I'll have to see what '68 gut parts Modelhaus has.) I'll be painting it Verdoro Green, of course.
  11. In real life, I saw many, many red stripe tires back in the day, but I don't recall ever seeing blue stripes. Doesn't mean there weren't any around, just that I didn't notice them.
  12. I learned very early on, most likely from Car Model magazine, how to tape-roll a body to a Pepsi bottle and use it for a painting stand. The top of my left hand and thumb were painted various hot and cool colors for most of my teenage years, which annoyed my Mother no end. I still use the same painting method to this day, though I now use quart beer bottles, and I have about four of them so I can paint several projects at once. Now I hold the bottle with a paper towel over my hand to keep the paint off it. Whatever works. And, cheap is good!
  13. With six you get eggroll. I just found three pics of this car last week in an old Rod & Custom Pictorial.
  14. Dean Martin's theme song.
  15. Everyone knows it's Windy!
  16. I like Walmart Color Place Gray Primer. Cheap, smooth, dries fast, covers well, safe on styrene, what's not to like? I also like to airbrush Model Master military flats in a color close to my final paint color, if I have such handy. That's worked great for the Model Master lacquers (and of course airbrushed enamels), but I can't speak for anything else.
  17. I don't remember. I'll have to see if the original mailing label is on the box it came in, where it still lives. (Probably not.)
  18. Reminds me of the modern fable about the freezing little bird.
  19. AMT put blueline tires in a few of their kits in 1967. I know the Camaro had them. They had red stripes on one side and blue stripes on the other. These were their common Firestone Supremes. These also came in whitewalls, and white/red. The blue ones are pretty rare these days. I think I might be able to put together one full set of them.
  20. That's Cheryl Crow. All I Wanna Do, or Have Some Fun, or something like that.
  21. Yeah baby I don't believe you no good at all Oh baby I don't believe you no good at all Well woman cause you've been drinkin' too much whisky, I believe you're talkin' ________________.
  22. Soul Coughing Super Bon Bon
  23. Neil Young, Rockin' in the Free World.
  24. Would that be meta, or simply self-referential?
  25. I think these are kinda cool. Back in the mid '80s I sketched up early Mustang and Camaro "rods" in this style, but I never actually built them. The body aft of the firewall is easy, but I could never figger out how to incorporate the front end/radiator in a way that I liked.
