This is my on progres 1/25 scale Fairmonts Pro Stock, one will be the 1978 Glidden car and the other one the 1981 car or the Dyno Don car. The bodys are by Scott...a.k.a. Futurattraction...also the resin engine in the "open up car" is a kit by Scott, that by the way have made a SUPERB product and of the highest quality and the fact that in my personal experience dealing with Scott was a pleasure and a fast transaction. Originaly my very good friend Norbert and I got the bodys to make the Glidden and Dyno Don cars, but Norbert is working in two other beautiful and very interesting model car projects and gave me the chance to get his Fairmont so I could build the two cars and one all open up,he even gave me some very important parts from his spare box all as freebies....yes he IS a great friend and my mentor in vintage pro stock....thanks Norbert!!! I scrachtbuilt and modified the chassis on both cars as well as rollcages and other details, they are a work on progress a a lot of fitting and cleanning is still needed but are getting there...besides I am enjoying every moment of these two builds, hope my fellow forum members find it interesting and to your liking. Fred

Kevin, I email you again yesterday cocerning the Ford 1978 LTD sedan body kit but it seems that for some reason my emails are not reaching you.....or maybe are being delivered to your email spam folder. I am ready to order and pay via paypal but no shipping charge or cost is given and I want to do everything in one payment. I am VERY anxius to start this project and can't wait to have it already in my workbench!!!! Fred

If there is someone who have one of these 1977-1978 Ford four door Galaxie/LTD resin sedan and is willing to sell it, please let me know I have email several times the company who make them but never get a response. I think this was the model originaly made by All American Models, I always like this car and want to do a Police cruiser with this kit. Thanks in advance for any help. Fred

All the models in the vote race are great, but my vote goes for the Ferrari, I had the oportunity and pleasure to see it in person in the last national competition, if in pictures looks supeb...in person is magnificent, truly a masterpiece in the art of miniature car modeling.

Here is my "work on progress" MPC body based NASCAR Daytona.....almost 8 years now!!!...it have not been clear coated or paint flaws corrected or final fitting and fabrication of parts been made. I used a AMT Roadrunner chassis with some modifications for this car. The wheels and tires are from Polar Lights NASCAR Torino. The back wing have not been worked, painted or fitted yet.

I have an unfinished one also, but mine was made in the nascar 71 K&K Insurance race car with Fred Cady decals, I used only the body and parts for it, chassis, engine and other details came from other more detailed kit, the ones supply with the original kit are pure and simple, useless. I can post photos of my unfinished model if you like to see it, since is not a street car version.

1-8 scale 69 camaro pro mod (mike hill's car)
Plasticfanatic replied to comp1839's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
This is going to be another masterpiece and a tour of force in craftmanship, cant wait to see more! Fred -
Karsten, unfortunately I do not have pictures when I did the body mods. To this project a long time ago. But I can tell you how I did it, the entire roof is a heated sheet of thick styrene plastic, formed over a balsa carved roof profile form....this is one of the things I will do a little different if I was to try this project again...will do it by vacumforming for even preasure and more clean form, than by hand ad I did it this first time.

Thanks guys for the kind words about this old project, greatly appreciated. I know I sound a little hard and unfrindly toward this project, but since I am a big fan of the real car, these wrong details really get to my nerves, since is not a replica of the car..just a close one...this is something that really put a hold to finish this project. I hope some day to try and do it all over again, now with all the available reference and photos of the car.....or may be not...the last time I check the reissue 1/8 XKE by Revell was almost $200!!! Again, thanks for the good review of this project.....mmmmm....may be I should finish it and take it out from that dusty old tshirt it have been under for the past decade.
