  1. Thanks once more for the kind comments. I am almost done on the Animal Jim Zephyr car, and have also work on the Glidden 1978 Fairmont, these two projects have been fun, will post pictures of A.J. Zephyr progress tomorrow evening. One of the things I like to do with some of my race car builds is to try a do a miniature figure of the driver...after all what is a racing machine with out it's driver and soul!!!! I used as a base one of Revell Dick Landy Dart resin figure that came with the kit, have cut it and reposition the figure to bring it close to a picture I downloaded of A.J. and Zeke. I already finished and painted the figure and will posted with tomorrow ZEKE update.
  2. Please keep it going, I always admired your first Oldsmobile since I saw it in a magazine contest coverage, super body fabrication so far, am pretty sure your new master will be equaly stunning, I will be online to buy one if it get to the market.
  3. Again thanks to all for the kid words about this two projects, and a BIG thank you has to go to Scott..Futurattraction...which gave us this Superb Fairmont and other detail goodies so all of us who wanted to build a Fairmont or its brother variant Zephyr can finaly do so!!!
  4. This are some of the pictures I found in the web with some details of the car, hope it help. I will be posting a couple of pictures of my A.J. car build progress tonight. http://www.bruracing.com/56chevy/media/displayimage.php?album=13&pos=0
  5. Superb work, I must say working with brass is not easy and making parts by hand with limited use of power tools even more, you have done a terrific job so far and am pretty sure it will be even more stunning when finished, the chassis work alone is a work of art!! This is the kind of work that inspire to try new ways and technics at the workbench, keep it going and looking forward to new updates. Fred
  6. Look great, the rework really bring out the beauty and potential of this particular model, like it very much.

  9. Yes indeed is a great guy and quite helpful, I sent him an email asking some detail questions about his car ZEKE, he was very kind and took the time to replay with the info. on all of them, I really appreciate his kind and helpful replay.
  10. If anyone have available the Airtrax Dodge Mirada in the USA for sale, please drop me a line, am looking for one. Unfortunately the currency exchange plus shipping make the direct buy to Airttax a little dificult for me these days of hard economic times.
  11. No problem at all my friend, in fact is very good info. for all of the fellow members who would like to build one of these cars, I for one want the Airtrax Mirada very, very much, I have a photo of one in blue metalic paint that looks wonderful and want to do it that way for my street/factory stock version build.
  12. Superb work and scrachtbuilding...truly inspiring work of scale modeling and subject!!!
  13. Another masterpiece on the works, it already looks fantastic!
  14. Thanks to all for the positive comments about this projects, greatly appreciated. Have donne. a few more things and will make an update in a couple of days....I hope..... if everything goes well with the graphics!!!!!
  15. Great concepts, work and paint, super job on all of them.
  16. With some modifications, yes it can be made into a street version. You will have to rework a little the back wheel opening...and I will say this is minimal. Cut and push out the front bumper...quite easy to do in this body...and again the diference is minimal. You will have to fabricate the front windshield and back glass sourounding "chrome" tim for the street stock apperance and wich is absent in this version of the car since is a pro stock/street/mod trim version, again someting quite easy to make with some plastic strip and bare metal foil,my two fairmonts came with "stock" engine hoods...no scoop opening...so you can fit the shape and size you want...and another plus for the street version conversion. Fred
  17. My on progress Animal Jim pro mod Zephyr and Bob Glidden 1978 pro stock Fairmont, both based in Futurattraction superb resin body, The paint now will be wet sanded, polished, graphics painted and and then clear will go on on both of them, still a long way to go but getting there.
  18. Thanks for the picture help, appreciate your interest. I found a lot of pictures of the current car in Animal Jim website, I will just go ahead and paint the graphics and letters of the car by masking and airbrush. Chuck is looking to see if they can be made, I know there are quite a few modelers who will like to do this car in scale.
  19. Ahhh....the AirTrax Mirada resin transkit...is a beauty and I am saving my pennys to get one to put it besides my NASCAR version, AirTrax did a SUPERB job on the street version and I cant wait to get mine. And my friends...the above Daytona test track photo shown is probably the ONLY know photo of the finished and running car in R.Petty/STP livery...none other photos of the car at the Daytona speed trial...b/w,color,press photo, fan photo, etc, etc have come to light that I or other Petty enthusiast know of.
  20. Magnificent work from all the angles.
