I belive they are by Fred Cady, but not sure, they where given to me for this project..as well as the resin intake mainfold by my good friend Norbert about a year ago, will ask him when I see him. When you finish this Charger it will look great side by side with your great Rod Shop Challenger...is impossible not to love these vintage racing cars....pure brute force!!

bbowser & Futurabat, Thank to both of you very much I found a solution to the main decal dilema. I to have deal with J.Heller at e-bay, great guy and super fast service indeed. Now that the solution to the numbers (67) and Arrington name for the car are out of the worktable, will have to find some white drytransfers for the back sponsor...not a dificult thing...I hope!! Again thanks!
-
A BIG THANKS to all for the kind words about this project, greatly appreciated. Do any fellow member have or know where to get the Arrington race car number/sponsor decal set?....I believe some one did these some time back but don't remember who. Fred

This is my on progress Chrysler Imperial wich hopefuly will become the one race by Arrignton in the early 1980's. The base model used for the conversion is a monogram 1984 Grand Prix to which styrene sheet was laminated and blended to achive the Imperial profile/look, the car is shown with its first coat of primer, lot of sanding and fitting still ahead on this one to get everything smooth as possible, also the engine hood and front bumper/glille are still under construction.

It's Starsky & Hutch....well sort of!
Plasticfanatic replied to Plasticfanatic's topic in WIP: Model Cars
You are correct and also I am not to happy with the roof profile. I will post pictures of the front area of the car in a couple of days when I get my day off at work. Thanks to all for the kind words about this failed project of mine, still thinking if is worth the trouble of a restoration. -
More Fun in 1:64th Scale. Superdetailed? Dirt Late Model
Plasticfanatic replied to DirtModeler's topic in WIP: NASCAR
I have seen ultra detailed models in 1/43 and 1/72 (planes) but this is just another level, simply SUPERB and SPECTACULAR. -

Hutch Ford Galaxie....I always liked the 1973/78 Galaxie/LTD body style and even more in the "comercial/police trim". -
Today I was cleaning my workshop "closet" and found a model that I believed to be looong gonne, I was pretty sure I did trow it away or give it to a good friend a long time ago...but here it is the Starsky Grand Torino. I made this conversion a very long time ago..it was based...I think...in the Revell green AAR Cuda, made the interiors and had a Torino chassis for this project...with I dont know where it went since It was not in the broken box with the model. I was never to happy with the end result and just gave it a quick paint with some quick bare metal foil application which is now falling apart to see how it will look, put it in a box and forgot about it. The model has suffer tru the years, theres paint overspray in the trunk area, dont know of what and a blue line on the roof that appear to be a decal and the back bumper is missing or long lost!! As you can see the interior was (is) quite dusty. Anyway I just gave it a quick look and belive will try to restore/finish this model, after all is one of my all time favorites TV cars!!!! Hutch Ford Galaxie is a conversion from the 1970 Police Interceptor model kit...not finish.

WOW.... what a great model and superb fit and finish, love it!!!!!!!!!!!

Richard Petty 1981 Dodge Mirada...the car that never run!
Plasticfanatic replied to Plasticfanatic's topic in WIP: NASCAR
Little more work in the front and back of the car and also a shoot of the soon to be Petty Magnum which is still in its early stages and still a lot of blending and sanding to the fenders openings which where reduced in radius. The back tire of the Mirada in the back view picture is loose and is sitting a little outside. -

W-409, That stock Dodge Mirada by Air Trax is truly a beauty and I am going to order one this week to build it as in the picture, replica stock and cant wait to get it in my hands!! I took the scrachtbuilding way mainly because so many things had to be reworked to a Nascar car that to me it would be a crime cutting up and sanding the Air Trax beautiful body kit....as well as expensive!!! I hope they do a Lincoln Mark V from the late 1970's to. -
Richard Petty 1981 Dodge Mirada...the car that never run!
Plasticfanatic replied to Plasticfanatic's topic in WIP: NASCAR
the early stages.....in the above "primer" pictures no sanding has been made and a lot of imperfections can bee seen, a lot of work ahead to make this body presentable!! -
This is my attempt at doing the 1981 NASCAR Dodge Mirada test car build by Petty Enterprisses for King Richard return to Dodge but that Petty rejected after testing at Daytona in practice runs. Even if the car was never raced it was a "Petty car" and to be honest and for some reason I do like the look of the car very much, it will look nicely with other of my R.Petty cars. This is not a perfect replica but I like how is coming along, hope is of your liking to.

The two bodys we got where preproduction/test shoot ones, Scott was still working on the final touches on the molds, just drop him a line to see if he already have them available for sale, he is a member here and have other superb items also available. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=52301

Thanks you guys, really appreciate your kind words. Today I did a little more work on them and if every goes well the fabrication part will be over in the next couple of days....then...paint,detailing and final assembly. I must say that Scott (Futurattraction) did a terrific job on the body and pro stock engine, cutting the panels of the body was a breeze and the way and material the body is molded is like working with a plastic body....or even better!!!
