  1. Hi Sonny, thanks They are a Fujimi wheel/tire package from eBay. They have quite a few versions and really nice quality
  2. Cheers Dann I found a Sotheby listing and think this is the colour and style I will aim for. Thinking white primer, silver base coat and then a clear blue topcoat? Suggestions appreciated
  3. Cheers Andy, thanks bud!
  4. Had a snow day and came home early from work. Added some suede to the interior I have a steering wheel on order, hoping to make it a wooden rim look.
  5. What a great project and read through. I cannot for the life of me bend styrene like that; so crisp and clean I always seem to melt the hell out of it or my fingers or both. Was going to try hot water instead I tend to use brass more often and make solder joints. We all have our material preferences, I am just so impressed with your ability to handle styrene
  6. Normally I can gloat from Canada's Warm West Coast, but it is -7 today here and snow on the the ground...and panic on the streets!
  7. Hey Snake, that looks great in green???
  8. Super clean look there JC?? Classy wire weeks do suit this Cobra version I did a bit of interior work, some leather look for the seats with oil paint and a latex primer
  9. I got all for Borrani wires dry fitted and took the pic. Aside from running in Michelins, they look pretty good
  10. Wow, I haven’t followed along in here very closely. Look at all the great scratch work going on. That is a fabulous rear end you have there Dan?? what???
  11. Holy smokes that is nice. Excellent modelling and photography Sheer class, just like you Bruce?? no innuendoes or anterior motives implied in the posting of this message. Any alternate interpretations by or in part are solely coincidental
  12. Awesome and thanks I will make up a list of what I am having trouble finding aftermarket or can’t make I really appreciate the offer???
  13. Haha Haha...uhh maybe I was? oh sweet sweet, Bruce
  14. Oh I like your thinking there. I don’t know why I like to torture myself and re-build stuff. It probably has a psychiatric diagnosis I have a few tire options for a more ‘light footed’ option. I think the second ones are the narrowest. Cheers for posting and following along in this madness
  15. Hey sweet Bruce yes this site is a wealth of info for domestic cars, so I knew it would be helpful to post I like you project, especially the custom body support system you have?
  16. Ok good stuff I will probably wind up making a bunch of stuff in the running gear anyways....it is kinda the challenge of the build I stupidly like. Huge help just identifying the kit as now I have the instructions printed off
  17. Ha ha sweet right off the bat. Thank you I have been reading a number of your great Cobra builds, super impressive! EDIT: Sweet I found the kit photos and instruction manual online. Thank you, that is a big help!
  18. So she has been torn down and a bit of engine and body work done. I scrubbed up the parts with some airbrush cleaner as she is filthy. I have quite a few parts to replace including Windshield, steering wheel, wheels and tires, exhaust system, mirrors, headlights and bezels, taillights, rear bumper..... After reading numerous threads on this site, I ordered the Hallibrand mags. Any suggestions on resources would be greatly appreciated. Cheers for looking
  19. Hello all This is my first project for 2020. A $12 eBay find of a contact cemented early era (??) cobra. I am posting up here as I know you guys are the real experts on these cars and I am definitely not
  20. Ya me too. Won’t be starting until I get everything collected, researched, organized and my time figured out
  21. Plodding along slowly collecting bits and pieces for the build I got my AMT kit and an awesome resin hood
  22. Thanks a lot Bruce. It is Stretched clear sprue, though fish line would have worked well. I was going to Molotov it silver, but like how it looked clear for some reason
  23. Thanks for this reference mate...will use them for sure
  24. Sweet. I lost interest in F1 when Gilles had his crash and died....stopped watching, took all posters down from my room, no F1 models made after that. Fast forward 30 odd years and I get this kit and research Jacques' history and am amazed at what he did in such a short time, all of which I missed while in university. I am sure JV's dad would be super proud of him for his accomplishments as he also seems like a true gentleman.
  25. See right off the hop you guys are great I will digest all of that info and see what I come up with Assumed the guy at AITM had stopped producing anything as most of his stuff is OUT OF STOCK on his site I am on no rush for this build, so will slowly organize and accumulate stuff
