  8. This lovely kit is going to turn into the Beast of the Green Hell version of this super cool Mercedes Won the kit on an auction for UK war vets to help teach them to model as a release from stress What I have done so far
  9. You will notice mine looks best with the rear wind and deck posed open..it came out OK, but not a perfect fit Thanks for all the nice words guys. This was a good one to finish off.
  10. A lot of work, far from perfect as it is a faulted from the start but fun to revive something. I can't build cars in 1:1 scale, so fun to do it in 1/24th scale Cool stuff along the way: I tried a lot of different things on this car Made the entire rear deck, wing and vent cover in dental resin by moulding taken from another kit Media blasted the body with an air abrasion unit to completely strip paint and get an even surface Remade the front suspension/shocks/ tie rod so that the wheels would steer, rotate and fit the Fujimi aftermarket rims Made disk brakes and body coloured rotors, made door handles from copper wire and round aluminum stock Wired up and detailed the Porsche flat six engine, aluminum flared exhaust tips Sanded and then coated all glass in AK Gauzzy or Future to repair a lot of glue damage/scratches Multi-toned greys in the interior Splash paint and Gravity 2k clear...first cleared body I have done and not the last! Before: This was a Monagram kit a bit battered up and no rear deck at all After:

  16. I am sending that to you after it comes off, I expect to see it hanging around your manly chest hairs
  17. Wow, are you off your meds?? two big cool projects at once and it is golf season....well,over on the proper coast it is golf season
  18. Well this one hopped back onto my bench this weekend. I will be happy to get the re-furbish done I remade the broken front shock and wheel assembly in brass and styrene with some mechanical retention and spruce glue...I just about smashed the entire model when I broke the front end, but the better part of reason took over and settled my fury Let’s see what is left?? Glasswork, windshield wipers, side mirrors, rear deck attatchment. I wanna make a matching surfboard, but might save that for later. Fooling around with some photos on the turntable
  19. Exactly...surgically freaking clean
  20. Indeed, you think you dry fit test enough but everything is still loose. Then you start gluing and screwing stuff down and the fit changes Hey did you go to the Burnaby swap meet??? The MGTC model I brought had people avoiding it in droves Zero interest.
  21. 1/24 Fujimi kit for the Gallardo. I went with windowed engine cover as it looks cool. Few screw ups, but ok in the end. Splash Orange paint over white UMP primer Tamiya clear orange window tint
  22. Finishing up, off to under glass soon. pic of her hind end and metal aluminum tips
  23. SOoooooo what is wrong with this photo? ...aside from having to use clamps to get the back end tight, the door cards are sitting in the background Back apart it comes, a tab is trimmed in the rear, door cards glued in....and still I need the clamps for the rear. She is fighting final assembly
