  1. Don't worry Dann, still lots of opportunity for me to screw something up and send it sideways off the rails yes Scott , it did need a full third coat of paint...I left a couple areas too thin!!!!
  2. Cheers man It and the radiator are gluing up as I write. I have to re-spray some blue body panel areas as I can see white primer pushing though
  3. I have a fair number of UK friends due to my affiliation with "ISM" website and Gravity Spain has been absolutely fine both in paint quality and service. That is why I was surprised to read that e-mail and its accusing content.
  4. Cheers Bruce, thanks
  5. Managed to get quite a bit done over the weekend. Basically everything has been fitted, painted and ready to assemble I call this pic "Filet of French Race Car"
  6. Little more progress with the dash and the nose screen
  7. Sweet solution..quoting the pic so you don't have to flip back a page
  8. Well said Ron. Sad he can't see how to change his ways If everyone else seems like a problem to you, more often than not, YOU are the problem and need to change yourself
  9. Re: Gravity Colors, USA I got an e-mail from the above stating that Gravity Europe has been spreading rumours, lies, and making customers do paypal disputes. Furthermore he quotes an unnamed ‘customer‘ that GE paint sprays poorly and is not smooth. My knowledge of Europe Gravity from a number of online friends is of good service and good paint. The same service cannot be said of USA Gravity I would suppose that the poor business tactics of USA Gravity has finally hit home and caught up with him. BUT, Instead of changing his own poor behaviour, he attacks others. I have no vested interest other than being a former customer who had to fight for his order to be fufilled.
  10. I don’t think you would want it rolling around...need a stable raised base
  11. You guys are all so very helpful, seriously. I went the foil route and Barge cemented the foil over the plastic. Then coloured my bezel edges black and press fit them into place. I messed with the steering column and steering wheel so it will turn It should clean up nicely after gauge faces are installed...pretty rough test fit here Thanks for all the suggestions, everything is very helpful ??
  12. Ahh sweet idea I have some foil gum wrappers saved with a similar pattern. Great suggestion, thanks
  13. Nothing like babysitting supposed adults about making plastic toys Cripes how can we ever hope for world peace
  14. Interesting project I like your choice for the yellow...do you have the B&H decals as well, those look great Some good reference photos to work from. Doing great
  15. Thanks Mike Not bad so far. I have to do a shiny machined surface on the dash. I can put some bare metal foil and then hit it with a dental polisher to replicate that pattern I see some bezels black, some copper/brass....have to decide what to do there
  16. Working on the little dashboard next Plan is using aluminum tubing, drilling holes in the plastic and making the metal bezels. Then the decals go on a clear mylar sheet and are glued in from behind A work in progress but you get the idea
  17. Hi James This is a super kit. Nice and clean, minimal panel lines and so far good fit. Now I have not got body, engine tub and cockpit tub all together yet as final assembled, but the dry fits seem ok I do recommend it, my only knock is the decals don't include everything I would want....that is why some aftermarket badges
  18. Pretty darn awesome Rolling chassis looks menacingly mean and I am sure the body panels will follow suit Great project
  19. That's cool...love the curved rail on the bottom and the caster wheels This will look awesome painted
  20. Hey thanks. weird that shop didn’t come up in my Canada eBay search ...but it is there, so I book marked it cheers
  21. Ya, I was thinking that as I was lying in bed...badges are usually put on after a car is cleared in 1:1 I got a little excited with new transfers Might be trouble with the clear pooling if I am not careful
  22. Got my round and crest plastic 3D transfer badges today in the mail from eBay. Love these things one goes on front nose other goes on the steering wheel Used the normal kit decals on the wheels
  23. thanks Dan and Gary...ya she is actually in not bad shape I am taking lessons from Dan on modifying fitment of panels and such BEFORE I get into paint I am getting there
