  1. GLOWING white!!! Beautiful paint and clear, looks great
  2. You have a lot of irons in the fire mate...I can't keep up more than two builds at once This Lotus is looking better and better with your detailing Nice
  3. Stripped seat the left, original on the right I have to make a leather store trip as my thinnest pigskin has off scale large grain in it
  4. Wow my pics are large and unruly. Weird, sorry guys
  5. The big knock on these Pocher versions is they cheaped out on the plastic and used ABS. It makes the car look very toyish inside. The metal bodywork and paint is very good and I am hoping not to mess with that too much. My guy got some after market mats that look nice, but the dog shoot brown dash and horrid leather texture seats are frankly appalling. I have a research pic with black dash and nice leather The driver seat was loose and kept falling out as I maneuvered this lug around for photos....so it volunteered for the first surgery and dip into the Easy Off!! Plastic seat adjuster and headrest supports cut off and new aluminum rod pieces made to fit That was last night's after work, dinner and chores modelling. I am going to cover the seats and interior in real leather, just have to find some thin enough about 0.5mm. Leatherwork is another hobby of mine so I am completely into doing that. Plastic seat adjustment bar to remove and replace Bar added and a little swatch of potential leather for the seat...it is too thick still at about 1.0mm
  6. I have been building other subjects the last while and not here much. This gets my mojo running so I will post lots about it Here is my first attempt at putting together a Pocher model. Now it is a metal body/ plastic parts from the exotic collection. I can Hear Harry roll over in his grave and Cato's eyes roll back in his head, but here is where I choose to start my Pocherism So, Ferrari Testarossa, semi assembled by nice old guy in States with failing eyesight and health bought about five years ago now. Pretty clean body work and decent interior. Engine not started and a detail upgrade set provided. These are pics in my big woodworkshop as it is 16 pounds and just under 2 feet long. I plan on doing sub assembly work in my model room and put it all together in the big shop. I have an F40 that needs similar treatment and show it in the WIP display shelving for my Pocher collection....a lot messy at the moment
  7. Well, I destroyed one of the front wheel hub assemblies that connects the wheel, shock, steering to the suspension. It is replaceable, but will take some scratch and soldering work and not sure I am interested in it So off to the time out section of the closet this goes again until my juices flow for it again I am going to restore a Pocher Ferrari now...look for it in Big Boys section
  8. HI Dan Ya it is ok Because it was all glued up and painted beforehand, things are not as neat, tidy and sharp as I would like but it is ok looking forward to finishing so I can move to new plastic. this is a skill/character building exercise
  9. I have the mould still and two ok grill covers. The wing area is torn out from the last session removal and I don't think will make a good result...at least something I would be proud to pass onto a fellow modeller. I would suggest looking at shape ways or these guys https://www.scaleproduction.de/product_info.php?info=p2080_p-993--carrera-rs-.html Sorry man
  10. Hello everyone, long time no posts 2019 is a year to finish some stalled builds for me...this Porsche, Ferrari F40 some other non car stuff I have pulled this out of the closet and am getting the running gear fixed up so we can have rolling wheels, steering and four level wheels also made four disk brakes and the calipers, fixed the broken mirror supports and polished and sealed the glass...show that when paint dries
  11. Spectacular Get some pics with the backdrop and the car soon Merry Christmas and HNY as well bud
  12. Interior is strikingly gorgeous....looking forward to her all buttoned up!!
  13. SO clean, everything you put together looks factory!! That last picture answers my mental question about a glue bomb...Oh ya I see the glue
  14. Hey awesome to see this back on site up on your desk Happy Thanksgiving Bruce
  15. I am in the keep some of it camp. Favourite or rare kits and certainly keep the spray booth and tools. Sell supplies, paint and duplicate/junk kits You can use the spray booth for woodworking when varnishing stuff and vent the bad stuff away form your lungs I still have a wack of leather working tools, woodworking and art stuff I have gathered and kept after we moved and built a house. I bounce around among those hobbies when I have time and motive. My kids are just heading out of high school now and I am finding my time is shifting to some more free hobby time again....you will too
  16. Look at those red beauties all lined up all factory fresh...would love to get my mitts on one now Agree on the clean engine bay and a perfect bonnet fit
  17. Nice looking haul Dan I have that GTO kit in 1/16 scale, such a beautiful car
  18. Wishing you well for your health issues it is a good time to downsize a lot for sure and stop buying Keep what is dearest to you, sell rest to guys like the ones here where it will mean something for you both Then you have the cleanest slate you can make for your new space and build / display from there i am going to take this a warning to reduce my own purchasing, increase my building and get my work/display areas finished...after my back recouperates mind you.
  19. Nice man, I missed this What do you think Dan, a Singer Porsche build ???
  20. I agree, that us a goldmine!! the Rubber Duck mac is a horrible kit...send it my way as a relief?
