Looks great Frank, nice refurb -
So I bought a little in line filter and tested it out.....cheap off of AMAZON After doing a test spay, I tore it all apart just to have a look.....my main moisture trap is soaking wet again, there is moisture on the top o-ring of the in-line filter and when I blow air without the airbrush attatched, it blows wet air out so definitely a water issue with me spraying. I tore it all apart to let it dry out. So I am pretty positive I got moisture contamination spraying the 2k

Yes, it was Gravity clear. I am going to retest after I get a secondary inline moisture trap My guts say it was water contamination not the clear itself. Some areas of the body were perfect, smooth and shiny, others wrinkly and orange peeled
-
Thanks Bernard I am a bit of a glutton for punishment...knock me down and I come back up swinging harder . So the repaint WILL be better
-
Nope it is the body as well Thought it was the red paint layer, but I am suspecting some water in the air line and the clear went wonky. You are dead on; I will strip it, repaint and clear and make it even better

A bit of a setback on this build. I have FUDGED up the Gravity Clear coat somehow...my suspicion is water contamination as my trap had standing water in it after the disaster and painted on a pouring wet day. I tried a sand off, but cannot get the paint shiny enough and it would be a pain to sand the entire body...so oven cleaner, strip and repaint
