  1. Looks great Frank, nice refurb
  2. So I bought a little in line filter and tested it out.....cheap off of AMAZON After doing a test spay, I tore it all apart just to have a look.....my main moisture trap is soaking wet again, there is moisture on the top o-ring of the in-line filter and when I blow air without the airbrush attatched, it blows wet air out so definitely a water issue with me spraying. I tore it all apart to let it dry out. So I am pretty positive I got moisture contamination spraying the 2k
  3. Stripped out decently, but more wet sanding to go before I re-prime the body
  4. Yes, it was Gravity clear. I am going to retest after I get a secondary inline moisture trap My guts say it was water contamination not the clear itself. Some areas of the body were perfect, smooth and shiny, others wrinkly and orange peeled
  5. Thanks Bernard I am a bit of a glutton for punishment...knock me down and I come back up swinging harder . So the repaint WILL be better
  6. Nope it is the body as well Thought it was the red paint layer, but I am suspecting some water in the air line and the clear went wonky. You are dead on; I will strip it, repaint and clear and make it even better
  7. A bit of a setback on this build. I have FUDGED up the Gravity Clear coat somehow...my suspicion is water contamination as my trap had standing water in it after the disaster and painted on a pouring wet day. I tried a sand off, but cannot get the paint shiny enough and it would be a pain to sand the entire body...so oven cleaner, strip and repaint
  8. Have always liked this BMW body style, looks like a lovely detailed model
  9. Got some great Photo Etch from my new friend Kurt for Fujimi Porsche 917. Thanks a lot bud

  17. All looks great, and yes those stacks are spectacular
  18. Very clean detail work, looks great Your hose connection in that third picture is spectacular The Stig sits in my abandoned HB cart awaiting me to pull the trigger Soon Stiggy, soon
  19. Yep, I think that is the best idea too
  20. Thanks Bruce, but Oh you are making an old man think here It is some small nondescript electrical wire I had that looked right in scale, maybe even unravelled picture frame wire. I doubled a length over in the middle to make a loop and make it look like two wires then I dipped it in Tamiya flat yellow XF-3
  21. If he does read this, all the solutions to his problems are right here. Basically a business 101 lecture. First in, first out is a good start.
