  1. So I am back at this build while I avoid house work and other projects I need to finish Made progress with the rear deck and will likely pose it open to show the engine and hide my questionable fitment. Will make brake disks, shift linkage and turnable front wheels...that is the plan at least
  2. Got her pretty much done last night Have just assembled and not cemented glass and body on so can take it off. My clear didn't come out quite as nice as hoped, but live and learn
  3. Thank you my friend, I am moving this build along to finish by mid week I did some chrome tips by flaring some aluminum tube Then the rims, brakes and such are painted up And then the mock up on the freshly painted body Final wheel and rim close up There we are, you are all caught up to me now. Have to touch up body paint, a pinstripe, clear and polish and then add all the fiddly bits
  4. Yes drivetrain was fun, but mostly my fault for wanting after market wheels Her soft underbelly with a threaded brass axle Offset front and rear tires and making some disk brakes In her first primer coat with some fender flares and body shaving Much better posting on the iMac than the iPad
  5. Thanks, one of my favourite shapes as well...this kit, meh not so hot More when I get to work computer.....iPad just won't let me organize the pics properly Until tomorrow
  6. The kit is nicely moulded, but pretty basic. It is a curbside so no engine. Have always loved the rear end of this car design, but have a distinct dislike of Porsche's 'phone dial' mags that were common on 928. So I chose some Nismo spoked mags for it. Bad decision as I have had to re-engineer the front and rear axels to accept a brass bolt to allow the new wheels to attach. I h
  7. Been working on a Fujimi 928 for a group build on another forum Putting my spin on it with wheels flares and shaved doors. The wheels will get body colour paint.
  8. Ya, that was my feeling as well I glued on a couple bits that popped off in shipping, but didn't want to alter it more than that Thanks for the response
  9. Digging those scarves....definitely getting one for the fall season On a more serious note, I am fixing up Harry's Jaguar SS100 one of the front light supports is broken. I don't want to mess with his kit too much and this part fits and is stable So do I go all out and modify this to fix it or just leave it as is???
  10. Ok great to see you getting the juices flowing So when are you going to get out of the garage and start working on scale models again?? Those pics are a real engine, you cannot fool me.... well maybe YOU can Love the 3D printed stuff, do you make that or order it form somewhere?
  11. Always liked the 944 and 924..I know the Porsche Purists thought the front engine was blasphemy, but I loved the body style
  12. Great job Tim, I like the display and plaque
  13. Superb job, looks incredibly realistic Used but not abused so to speak
  14. One of my favourite cars.....carry on building, I am following along Rough does seem to indicate paint drying in the air before hitting the subject...but lots of factors in spraying to make something go weird
  15. Will try to re-populate this thread and get her going again. PB really killed a lot of the Internet forums, especially when you do a search and find the whole results have no photos...sucks I bought some 'Archer Fine Transfers' louvre decals that should do the trick as I cannot seem to cut the louvres and it killed the project for a bit.
  16. Looks perfect I congratulate you as well on the award!!!
  17. Very nice Cobra now about that Payday I keep seeing in photos.....
  18. This is another one of Harry's models...a Harley Sportster modified by him. It was an Imex kit With the big F up by that photo server who shall not be named we have lost a lot of photos in threads, so nice to bring back one of his pics
  19. Great paint!!! Nice overall job indeed
  20. Me too Bruce, thanks for looking I will try to get her back to Harry's form
  21. Thank you my friend, good to hear from you
  22. Thank you. Sorry again about those enormous photos That specific material is Structur 2 SC by Voco... a self curing composite material for crown and bridge. It is an auto mix syringe type delivery so allows you to squirt right into a channel in the mould.... vs spatula mixing which dentistry has moved away from in many cases The products are not cheap, but are readily available to me, so I used what I have. Worked OK ish
  23. I have purchased this model from Harry's daughter Amy and just received it today. Needs a bit of clean up and a few things repaired from transit damage, but will post some more pictures when it is back up to snuff. REALLY makes me sad for the loss of Harry today, hoping it will help remember good stuff and let us all smile about him soon.
  24. Think I have decided on a body colour ...Tamiya Metallic Blue Engine is pretty much done Holy cow these are big pictures, sorry. I will post them from flickr next time and reduce the size more...otherwise you can see all my mistakes
  25. Special delivery from Amy...Harry's Jaguar ss100 Has a few bumps and bruises, but easily repaired stuff. I am going to fix her up and then post it back into Harry's original thread for the build. this kit makes me sad Thanks Amy
