  1. Thanks guys, hope you liked the tongue in cheek video build summary
  2. Popping in a little video I made of her for fun
  3. Okeeefine, thanks
  4. Sweet. A model unto itself I bet it proves very useful in photos
  5. You are a good influence. Watching all those major alterations you do made it easier for me to fix the wheel alignment screw up that would have bugged me otherwise
  6. Yep, that did the trick...my fault not the kit’s
  7. So last night I worked to balance out the way the wheels sit The left rear diver's side was at a weird angle, you can see it in the first pic, so I chopped out the driveshaft and unglued the suspension Then I added some lead foil packets into the transmission tunnel for weight and re-glued everything This helped let it sit more flush and will give a good weighted feel to the model overall I have left everything set up overnight with some weight on the back suspension to keep it flush. I will do an after photo tonight and you can see the difference
  8. I am going to that show on Saturday, not likely enter this one though or the Talbo Lago I don't really build for shows. That being said, I am considering brining a 1/16 MGTC build with lots of extras...we shall see if I chicken out or not I have yet to build a model where I feel I have just nailed everything perfectly. Maybe that is what drives me....crazy
  9. That's super Dennis, I like it a lot!! Is it a Fujimi kit?? I wish I painted my dash pod cover orange like that coool Mine is going to have an orange tint on all windows that I am hoping will make it pop
  10. Well she is pretty much glowing orange now testing it with the orange tinted front window
  11. Ok I will submit to nixing the floor mats...rough crowd My workspace got a good cleaning and I am itching to get back to this...but I just 2K cleared something so I have to wait for full dry so I don’t make more dust form leather shavings soon, very soon thanks for lookin’
  12. Awesome project Nothing like some good home made East Coast grime...I bet that sticks like S to a blanket
  13. Hi Bo good to hear from you. These classics bring out the classy guys on the site Thanks Larry..they always could be better and I am my harshest critic
  14. Super nice thing to say, thank you I am not totally happy with it and there could be some improvements if I desire to do more work on it...meh
  15. Just sprayed some Gravity 2k clear and put her to bed to cure for the night in the cupboard. I know I have some confounded dust bunnies in it
  16. Ha ha, look who I rustled up Hello Mr Skip, an absolute pleasure to see you post I hope this one tickles your fancy and I hope this message finds you in good health and spirits. Cheers my friend, some black and white just for you
  17. Oh yeah, I have that on my calendar. This Build is no where near show level in my estimation, but I will go and gawk around at everyone else’s
  18. Thanks everyone for the kind words, I really appreciate it. Matt: I wish more kits came with figures...this guy doesn’t fit great in there as his arms were cast already Robert: yep he is jammed down in there trying to hang on for dear life Both Bruces: thanks guys for looking in on this. Yes there is an engine and it does well with a few mods Tom: thanks pal David: yes I love adding a figure and/or setting the model on a base...it adds so much to a build. Some of those other kits you mention have very skanky wheels/tires moulded as one, so be careful. Dennis: ya get one, but, as above, careful of the wheels/tires. This is the most recent Heller version of the kit Gary: not everything gets out of the build process, in fact this is my first across the line for 2019 Ismael: I wrote a not to you below bud Chris: thanks pal Some bonus pictures with a better background that doesn’t have a jiz stain on it
  19. The first three letters of their name describes their kit I actually had fun with this as I love the subject and anticipated the extra work This particular version has great wheels and decent details, very ready to upgrade. I cut out the mid section of body to allow me to close seams and get better fit. Then on glue up the nose didn’t seat all that great and I have a gap. IF I go back I can add to the bonnet and seal that up
  20. Thanks JC, I thought I had the dry fit pretty good...until I got the glue out and then the GD nose didn’t want to seatbthe same it’s sallright
  21. Cheers Pat, Thanks The body panels put up a good fight...and I think they beat me
  22. This is a Heller 1/24 kit slightly modified of a French Grand Prix Car from 1949ish Jimmy Flinstone Midget driver painted in oils Some bonus pics with a better background down below in the comments
  23. Made a little nose badge decal as none was provided with the kit. Tamiya tape painted, I did three to give more opportunity to get the scale right Sneak peek of her all done as far as I will take her...the number decals are BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH and I won’t place any now. Off to under glass she goes
  24. Very well stated. Clean your own house before throwing shite at someone else’s
  25. I am just sitting here taking notes on how to build cars WOW
