  4. Gotta love a model builder who can problem solve...seems to be required skill on these kits You are doing a fine job, thanks for showing
  5. Superb job....I love it!!! Paint, decals everything is spot on Have quite a few F1 kits and learned as a teen that Tamiya and now Fujimi are the best engineered IMHO
  6. Awesome set of pictures, thank you for taking the time to do that In typical Tamiya fashion, it looks perfectly made and just ready to leap into assembly...I agree on the lovely louvres Nice stuff and congrats
  7. Great paint work there, this IS up my alley and I will follow along Great videos as well
  8. Good for you on finding her, that is a cool feeling Love to see what is in the box, most of us will probably never see a kit like that
  9. We watch the Polar Express as a Christmas Eve tradition....lovely story, great animation

  11. Great build and love the paintwork you did. A lot of time and effort was put into this and it shows Cato's 1:1 is magnificent as well
  12. The stance is awesome!!!! Like to hear how you went about dropping her so nicely and at what build stage do you lower....ie early on or near the end scott
  13. Very nice work I am Pocher crazy, just not as experienced nor as wealthy as the old guys

  15. Holy smokes, what an awesome wide range of gorgeous models I am blown away!!!
  16. Wow, what a line up You have been up to something GOOD this year
  17. Wow, loving them all from rusty to shiny A good year's work
  18. Cool car and ........uhhhhh interesting back story
  19. I have a similar bug bite Rob A model looks so much more complete in a little dio of some sort. From your photo bucket, the models you are building definitely lend themselves to dioramas and yes space is a problem. That old TV set idea is good or inside a glass top coffee table Putting stuff up on the wall is a great idea....I did a little painting for a Spitfire my son and I made together so it could go on his wall
  20. I will follow along as well...want this kit from Santa
  21. It is a good thread and I really like what you wrote So many ways to skin a cat when modelling, we all have our bias views. Some want to be a scratch builder and some want to be an assembler...nothing wrong with either I find it very satisfying making parts and details myself more than aftermarket purchases...I can see a mill and lathe in the future, but not yet. Personally, I see a model kit as a starting point and take it from there with my own imagination...... especially like adding a background or at least small diorama to set the model off and tell a story Good thread topic my friend
  22. Going to throw in a couple more pics This is the inspiration photo and here we are all finished
  23. Hey thanks for the good vibes guys ? Lucas' ranch is supposed to be quite the place, that would be cool. I am the worst Star Wars Nerd ever, so would look like an idiot meeting someone like that. During research, I saw some pretty cool pictures of the model building and stop photography sets that the early movies used. The old movies have a certain charm to them that the newer overdone cgi cannot achieve IMHO. I hope this latest release isn't over the top with the cgi effects
  24. You are making some gorgeous looking vehicles.....all a little off the norm and I mean that in a very good way
