  1. LDO, i shouldnt have said any because that is completely false, I meant any camera I can afford. My apologies. Again, I am not looking for a "pat on the back". I'm HOPING for some constructive critiscm and maybe even some useful tips.
  2. I'm not ignoring posts, im on my phone and can't keep up with all the replies. And GMC, you're exactly why I don't care for the american car crowd. Next time, I'll post my 69 Shelby so i don't upset you guys ranting.
  3. And sure, some photos come out less than amazing but the camera on my phone is better than any digital camera. My bad if I come off whiny. Im not trying to come off whiny but it is frustrating when i spend time getting decent pictures and "hope" to hear some feedback. Meanwhile, the muscle car crowd goes on ooing and awing and knocking everything else out of the way. So yea i have to bump my BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH thread just to keep it alive.
  4. Oh get over yourselves and quit attacking me. I'm not talking about my ONE S15 post I just put up this afternoon GMC. I'm talking overall. Hell, even that build, I have what two comments from someone else? I used to be on a forum for tanks and the support was fantastic. If I did something wrong, I got respectful and useful corrective information. Everyone did. And if I hurt YOUR feelings because I stated the obvious, perhaps you need to put your big boy pants on. I don't have an issue recieving constructive criticism but I don't care for NO feedback. I am not here for atta boys because frankly, i know my cars aren't that fantastic yet. What annoys me is that a. Posts get BURIED by the Mustang/Corvette/Camaro crowd. And to which, this forum woyld GREATLY benefit from the help of subforums. For instance, we used to have american tanks, russian tanks, german, etc... B. I have to get attacked because I ask a general question. Sure, i could have been a little more constructive about it but what the eff is wrong with just ranting? Jeez. I support MANY builds and love ALL the cars on here, no matter how many Baldwin Camaro's, Corvettes, or Shelby and Fox body musstangs I see, because the work you all do is amazing. So, i apologize for my rant but no matter your niche of cars, its easy to tell if it isnt American around here, it gets snowplowed under a wave of the aforementioned cars.
  5. Bump for something different around here.
  6. A little rant here but what is the point of me sharing my work when no one says a thing? If the car subject isnt a camaro, corvette, mustang, or some far off 50's car it gets 0 interest, or at least feedback. Hell, if what I'm doing looks like garbage, someone say so. I'm pretty sure I put my big boy pants on this morning. I do not understand why I put time into (and away from) my work when there is no interest. I thought this community enjoyed cars but clearly, if its from Japan, it doesnt fit in. Anyway, I'll be a little more scarce around here as frankly, it isnt worth my time posting my work when it gets snowplowed out of the way by the Mustang/Corvette/Camaro crowd.
  7. that's absolutely gorgeous.
  8. made some progress this week. I used Milliput to fill in the gaps behind the wheel well and added some structure above the transmission housing. I also sanded the wheel wells to smooth everything out. Once the milliput has dried, I'll go over everything with Tamiya White Putty and add strut tower detail. I also mocked up the engine and radiator. To add some realism to the R32 kit radiator, I placed a backing of .20 styrene and filled in the gaps with white putty. here's a mock up picture of the cooling elements and a closer look:
  9. sweeet!!!!
  10. nice!!!!! can't wait!
  11. try Hobbyeasy.com if that yields no results, try BNA Model World.
  12. Man that looks good. It looks like a die cast!
  13. Thanks guys. I didnt make as much progress as I wanted to today. Basically I smoothed out the fenders. I still need to add detail to the strut towers and finish up the radiator area.
  14. that's a giant turbo! It looks really good so far! Can't wait to see what you do with it!
  15. ok guys. Weekly update #1 (I plan on havinging a second update tomorrow.) First, I have something of a firewall with some detail and a rough beginning of an engine bay. with the firewall mostly taken care of, I turned to the strut towers. obviously I need to sand the Tamiya white putty and smooth it out. Next I need to add some detail to the actual strut tower top and a crash structure to the front.
  16. Ugh. Red plastic.
  17. Very, very cool man!
  18. Thanks Scott. I've had a few issues that have popped up but it's part of learning, each successive car will be better than the last (hopefully). I won't be finishing the RX-7 today as I have to take car of my 1:1 civic si's maintenance needs but I should be able to finish up the taillight, side markers, and a polish and wax over the coming days. I have an FTO and an S-15 patiently waiting attention!
  19. glad I'm not the only one. After my DBS nightmare, I quit twice.
  20. I used copper wire initially labelled as battery cable from hobbylinc.com. The brake lines are braided wire from hobbylinc.com as well. I believe both are made by Detail Master. Thanks for your support Scott! Glad you are following along. Hopefully, I can wrap this baby up tomorrow!
  21. A weekly update guys. I've spent most of the last couple days mocking up, tearing down, measuring, mocking back up, and modifying several parts. Notably, the sub-frame assembly and splash guard. The stock sub-frame assembly and splash guard does not have the clearance around the oil pan for proper engine placement. I corrected this by cutting open the splash guard. Next, I ran into issues with the rack and pinion steering piece. This was corrected by taking some liberty with the construction of the oil pan. I cut away some of the oil pan after removing all parts of the AWD system from the parent R32 vehicle. To further ensure a proper engine placement, I against took some liberty with the rack and pinion steering, cutting and flattening the rod on the engine side (as opposed to the underside) of the rod. I will now be able to maintain the proper ride height and original construction of the front suspension and add the RB26. I'll get some pictures up shortly.
  22. Another weekly update gents. I have assembled the chassis and run the brake lines as well as finished the interior and engine.
  23. I had something similar happen to my RX-7 build. I built up the clear coat over my carbon fiber decals too quickly and it wrinkled in places. Sometimes I feel like I should just leave well enough alone in this hobby.
  24. I love that you are using a 2JZ!
  25. http://www.supra-forum.com/articles/toyota-supra-jza80/versions/j-spec/ Starting with the 95 model year, the rear wing became standard. So yes, you are correct the wing was an option in the beginning of the production run.
