Thats killer. Yea tub it!

Hey cobraman, I've seen bids on eBay start at $5-$20 for just the body. However if I was of the inclination in liking the Cheetah which to me looks a bit odd, I'd do the HRM Cheetah being a full detail kit. Looks to run ~$175 but by all accounts, well worth it. They have both the louvered hood and non louvered hood version.

Well, unsure, sounds too hip for me. But slam em should be lower the ride height. Perhaps tub em means no bumpers, just smooth body all around, think bath tub?

This build is simply just too sik! Seriously. Seems as though many here are uber talented and superlative. Infact every ones build pics look tight, even the ones who claim they are not. Wow, very inspirational indeed.

Hi, So some one is giving away there Fujimi 911 GTR3 Evangelion yada yada yada whatever. I think the RT machine Direction is some kind of brand/sponsor. I couldn't find much info on this model and hoping some one in the community could provide some insight on the following; Is it a detailed kit similar to there enthusiast line? Does it have full engine trans-axle detail? Thanks very much in advance.

MPC Ford MkIV used partial build
aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Wow, U ROK man, totally worked. This is a parts robber sort of thing but who knows. I have the same kit but new. At any rate, luckily this thing was put together by a, well... some one without much patience. It had lots of gaps etc and while I await proper tools, used a steak knife very slowly and methodically. Pieces just started popping off etc... Thanks again! -

Ok, included are 2 pics of interest. I'd like to reuse the engine/transaxle in a diff model. Would getting it wet and freezing be a good place to start? BTW, its odd how uploading pics flips em randomly. Sorry for the upside down pics, they are right side up in fact. -
Most every rescue I've met seems to be grateful and happy to have been, well... rescued. I will go out on a limb and say rescues more so then not, make the most excellent pets. I've actually met ppl that say dogs, cats, animals etc... don't have feelings and don't dream. They, by co-incidence, have never had a pet BTW. My favorite is when they have running dreams, OMG how cute. They actually run etc... in there sleep.

Paint Booths & Safe Ventilation?
aurfalien replied to Synister's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Wow Art, thank you very much for that in depth. Much appreciated. Looks like One Shot also has hardeners which reduce dry time and reducers which thin it. Seems like very cool stuff, plus they mention mixing to get a particular color in mind. I would venture that this long dry time allows for a very hard durable result. -
Wow, lots of adorable lil chookies here, I love em all. Lots of cats too, so I bring you "Bella Josephine Krusic", aka Foofy Girl, aka Shmoobies, aka Foofy Foofy and is friends to all cats in fact. Chihuahua are one of the few dog breads to get along very well with cats. Named after a mountainous Mexican province/state, they were often used in large packs to hunt Grizzly. They are fearless and a few would die in the pursuit but they got the bear so tired being as nimble and quick as they are, that the hunters had an easy time of dispatching the beast. At any rate, mine only hunts her food bowl and is startled by large leaves. BTW, I feel for those who have lost there little ones. Mine soon approaches her time to go and we don't remember life before her.

aurfalien replied to aurfalien's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Thanks man. Too bad I have to wait soo long before seeing the kit. I'm actually eager to post an un-boxing review of it on this forum. I was going to get the Monogram 904 kit but after reading reviews on it, I'm glad that i didn't. Still, check out this guys work; http://cs.finescale.com/fsm/modeling_subjects/f/4/t/90121.aspx -

model kit subscriptions
aurfalien replied to bobthehobbyguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It would be awesome to get MFH kits this way but I suppose you can get a dedicated credit card just for the purpose. Plus you build credit to boot. In Europe, credit isn't as easy to get as it is here so vendor prescription models are the only way to buy something you really can't afford. -

Paint Booths & Safe Ventilation?

Southpier, there seems to have been MANY changes. Makes me wished I had kept my 1/12 Tamiya Jackie Stewart ELF car. Some adult took it away and gave me Legos instead. Something about the glue being a potential issue -
Paint Booths & Safe Ventilation?
aurfalien replied to Synister's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Hi all, I've been planning my first build of a some what modified Monogram Chaparral kit. To me color application is about as important as building the kit although this will be my first in over 40 years or so. I'd like to avoid sprays and was thinking that a well primered base coat followed by say using a cloth to apply the color by blotting or wiping could be a substitute for spray. Much like a roller can be for spray. Either that or a very fine wide brush. Has any one tried this? I don't really have the luxury to setup a spray area at this point. But if forced I can as it would be a huge pity to ruin a kits potential by improper paint application. Let me know your thoughts. -

Cool deal, I'll post pics when it shows. Was sort of a spur of the moment as I just love the GT40 MkIV. You know, Race Car Replicas has a full on rolling chassis kit for like ~$50K. -
Hi, So I managed to buy a child hood dream car of mine, a 904! I may or may not turn it into a GT but the kit is rather interesting. I have yet to dawn it with my own eyes but it has metal parts with engine and tranny detail. I've included a photo of the box. Has any one heard of auto-kit? If it turns out to be a buzz kill for me as I have my own expectations of this bad boy, mebbe I'll trade some one here for other fromage.

Well, I ordered one via Strada. They were nice enough to tell me that some stuff was on back order but I'm in no hurry. I've other kits on the way and will have fun picking and choosing, mwahahahaaaaaa!

This is the place that does all the pre/prod/post for Hoonigan. Really nice group of guys and all those clever quips are all Hoonigan crew ideas. http://www.logan.tv The Castrol Blackout spot is very cool. I do all the IT there and its a real priviledge and hoot to be a part of it all. Although my personal favorite is Gym4, the Universal Studios and the monkey suite were very very cool.

Hi, I just bought an old MPC Ford GT40 MkIV kit which looks to have been started. Not a big deal as I'd say ~10% looks to have been built. If I wanted to undue or dismantle the build, what kind of stuff would I need to do so without damaging the parts?
