  1. RIP my dearest foofy girl; 1/15/15.

Oh sorry I forgot, and this being LeMans Miniatures; http://www.lemansminiatures.com/produit.php?idproduit=49&sessionid=49173741254beafa725d38
  3. Hi, I've been browsing around for the hell of it and came across a Renaissance GT40 MkIV kit. It looks cool, wondering if any one has played around with it? How it compares in accuracy of body shape to say a LaMans Miniatures GT40 MkIV kit? Just sorta curious on this.
  4. Shweeeet, thanks dude.
  5. Yea, the lil chookies seem to wrap around your heart and NEVER end up letting go However nothing is free, so for all the joy they bring, one must pay dearly after there passing. And boy what a price it is
  6. Hi, Would any one happen to know a source for a 66' Ford GT40 MkIV engine? Or perhaps a parts list I could use to build one? I'm having a bit of a time wrapping my head around it. It seems to be an MkII engine/trans; 7L 427 (what a beastie). Seems like a 66' Nascar Ford Galaxie would do the trick as well? Or mebbe the Revell Ford 427 parts pack?
  7. I'm very sorry Scott and my very best wishes to you. He must have had splendid care to have lived for so long.
  8. Awesome, thanks Misha! Looking forward to the updates.
  9. Awesome, I am now the proud owner of his 906 kit! And yes, you are right as he is a real pleasure to work with. Very prompt and consciences.
  10. Yea they do look like the Fisher kits but with engine/trans. Pretty cool stuff.
  11. Both fun articles to read, thanks Bill.
  12. Well, I don't mind hard copy and actually prefer it. Easier on the eyes and not prone to reboots. But the costs of various model mags seem circa 1980. Its a niche market though. Even a Kindle version would be cool.
  13. While I haven't seen MCM mag yet, @34.65/year it should be top quality color only.
  14. "A Very RARE Dealer Promo of the 1951 Pontiac Silver Streak 4 Door Sedan by AMT." Ok odd promo, but must have been diff back in its day. "This model is very warped and Very Brittle (type of plastic used). Friction motor is missing." Yea, to say the least. "We have never seen any other of this model." Umm... junkyard dioramas? "We will take extra care in packing this for you but cannot guarantee that any more pieces may come off in transit." Thank god for the disclaimer, I was worried.
  15. Thanks Christian, much appreciated!
  16. All true ma man, all true. They did own it back then. Do you know the back story to how Ford was gonna buy Ferrari but Ferrari said no at the very very last minute after saying yes? And he wanted to crush em so he built a Ferrari killer; the GT40. This is the extent of what I know. Would be cool to hear more.
  17. Hey guys, what issue(s) would say be more Euro centric having 60's era Ferraris and Porsches? I'm looking to buy some back issues.
  18. Hi, Is any one familiar with kits made in Portugal by Fernando Pinto? I'm curious of quality etc... I'm eying a Porsche 906 but it sorta looks odd, few pieces etc... Thanks in advance.
  19. Top notch Snake, love it. Thanks man!
  20. LeMans will be tough. The competitors are top notch, seems every one has an über car in the fight. The GT looks killer with great stats but still, seems an up hill battle.
  21. Yes this sounds awesome. Also curious what ratios.
  22. Hi Erik, I found your experience fascinating, enlightening and depressing. And yea, EcoTurds is the correct name for em. The irony about EPA and resulting regulations is that the other side of the globe could give a rats a#$. Its estimated that if every one drove a hybrid in North America, it would have no impact due to China's continued spewing of fromage. Its like Caddy Shack, you still have that Bade Ruth floating around regardless of what side the pool you're in.
  23. Hi Misha, Was this ever finished by chance? I'm mostly interested with what you did on the 908.
  24. Watch, in years to come we will find that analog was truly superior and will go back to it with a different twist of course. Nature is already the ultimate result of design, the best engineering.
  25. Oh yea it will. I'm hanging on to my moms Englebert Humperdincks 33 1/3s
