I don’t recognize what kit is, but I like what you have going. -

Still waiting in Seattle area.. -
Those headers are wild. Did you use solder?
-
Really like those wheels & the actual car is killer.
-
Paul, that thing is unreal.

Here’s one that I started while waiting for paint to dry on another build. AMT 61 Falcon Ranchero, pro streeted with some help from AMT’s 66 Nova Pro Street. -
Steven your builds are just so detailed and thorough out. Dang, I start out with a plan, but often it changes as the build goes on. I got a lot of ideas from Roger’s builds and he was always willing to share how he accomplished something if you asked. Really a shocker when I found out he was gone.

Thanks for all the kind comments. I was very pleased with how it turned out and excited to hear the Galaxie kits May be reissued. These are a few pictures of the interior before assembly.

Just finished this 47 Chevy coupe from Galaxie Limited. I have a 1:1 1948 Chevy coupe, so this was a must build. This kit can be made as either a 46, 47 or 48. The detail in this kit is second to none. Only issue I had was painting it with those little jars of Testors. Let it set for over a month before doing any BMF, glass or exterior pieces.

I painted my kit body 10 days ago with Testors little bottles. 50-50 mixture using lacquer thinner. Came out really nice, but I would like to polish it with some Novus #2 polish. How much longer should I wait, and how do I know when it’s ok to polish it?
-
I airbrushed this 4 days ago with the little Testors bottle. I plan to top coat with Testors Extreme Lacquer Wet Look Clear. Questions are: Is it ok to top coat now? Enamel should be gassed off by now. Should I wet sand before I top coat. How long after I top coat should I wait to wet sand or polish?

I tried heating up the tire with a heat gun, then pressing the tire down on the counter while I had a wooden dowel inside the tire. The tire looks flat, but the wheel opening becomes a little oval and doesn’t fit the wheel properly. Any suggestions on other methods or tell me what I may be doing wrong.

I am trying to use a couple of tires from parts stash. One is nice and pliable, but one is pretty stiff. Is there anyway I can soften this tire?

Post your truck mockups.

Nice 57 Cameo. What color paint is that? -
I have a jar of Mr Surfacer 500 that is still about 1/4 full, but has thickened up a little. Originally it was consistence of maybe peanut butter, but now it is more like drywall putty. Still can spread it on a surface, but doesn't flow like it did. Can I add a couple of drops of thinner to it without ruining what I have.

Just painted the 50 Ford F1 with a Model Masters Acrylic paint and planning to clear it using the Testors Extreme Lacquer Wet Look Clear. Question is how long should I wait to shoot the clear on? On a side note, I didn't look at the Model Masters paint before I thinned it with Lacquer thinner. Painted it just like a do with my enamel paints. It seems to have laid down OK, then I read on the bottle Water Wash-up. Thinking I should have thinned it with washer fluid or alcohol. Any thoughts on any problems I might end up with? Thanks for the help.

Neat idea, what wire are you using?

Revell '50 Ford F-1 setting on Foose pickup frame, wheels and tires. Finally got it setting where I like it. Not sure about color yet, was thinking maybe stock green with some weathering, but I've never done the weathering thing so I got'ta think about that. -

Looks like going to be a great build.
