Revell '50 Ford F-1 setting on Foose pickup frame, wheels and tires. Finally got it setting where I like it. Not sure about color yet, was thinking maybe stock green with some weathering, but I've never done the weathering thing so I got'ta think about that. -

Using ca glue to bond painted pieces
Chevy II posted a topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
I know you’re supposed to scrape painted surfaces before gluing them, but what about when you are unable to scrape a part before attaching it. I have been using ca glue to attach painted pieces. Haven’t had a big problem so far, but just read an article that said never use super glue to attach painted pieces without scraping the paint from mating surfaces first. What are others doing? -
Really like this car. How did you get it so low.

Just started build of the AMT White-Freightliner kit. The windshield & door windows are a single piece. Has anyone ever cut this piece to open up the door glass leaving only the windshield & wing windows remain? This would make it easier to look inside at the interior?

Love the old stock cars. This reminds me of a car my neighbor had when I was just a kid. Great memories. -

Me thinks the long bed is better with the cab being that size. -

I really like this truck. Looks like a great build. I like everything about what you've done. -
Are the holder attachments soft or hard plastic? Do they mark the paint when you tighten them down?

That is one sweet 40. Setting perfect and love the wheels. Are those 3D printed? -
Awesome Super Gas Vega. where did you get the class designation letters and member number for the windows?
-
Mark, are you saying to put a zig-zag in the A pillar, B pillar or both? Roger, your build was the one that got me thinking about this build. Mine will be in primer, have the bed shortened, and a 6" scale chop.
-
Thanks for the replies. I have already removed section of the rear window so I can chop it less than what the windshield and door glass will be. I am planning to extend the roof and not slant the A pillar. Anyway that's the plan. We'll see how it turns out, might end up being a roadster pickup.......

Painted it with FolkArt Acrylic craft paint with Rust-Oleum 2X Gloss Clear . Italian Sage is the color. Thanks for the comment.

I am attempting my first time at chopping a top. I have seen a lot of examples where they cut the A pillar horizontal like the tape in my picture. Has anyone ever cut the A pillar perpendicular to the pillar as shown in the black mark? Seems to me this would give you an easier joint to fix that going across it horizontally. And no, the tape is only placed there for show right now. Also, do you use the tape as a guide for the blade or just use it to mark the cut line? Thanks for any input.
