Great Project! Do you still have your Studebaker? I like these cars because they are no mainstream.

So many great details! Very nice!

Another built of 2019. I think you've noticed, that I started a project named "Silver Corvette Collection" in 2019. This was one on the list. But it went a different way. At the moment, I saw this Official Pace Car on the side of the box, I turned it into that because it's kinda cool - and reminds me at my childhood, when my brother hat a C4 convertible as a kit. I finished it as my first Corvette in 2019. On 29.05.2019. It's the first C4 I've ever built. Unbelivable. In my younger years I only built a 1960 (Revell) and a 1963 (MPC). That's it. No more Corvettes until 2019. And Chip Foose's C7 was the next after 25 years. Painted with yellow out of a rattle can, sealed with two components clear cote. So it's out of the box. Some weeks later I bougt the same kit by Monogram. Monogram didn't put the yellow light bar into the box. What? But instead of this, they put more decals into the box. That was the reason why I bought the kit: the decals. It is this sticker, which is missing on the decal sheet by MPC. As you can see, it is still missing on my model kit. It will come. I have to reproduce it Pictures of my Offical Pace Car:

Originally I bought this glue bomb as a spare parts car for my blue ZR1 with the broken rear window. So the plan. Then I had to built a torch red C7. I don't know whether you know, that there is a pre painted C7 avaliable in Germany. My quastion was, how close is the red paint by Revell to "torch red" by GM. So that was it to figure out. I needed a paint casualty. Why not that kit? The rims were missing and it was partly done, the paint was ripped of. I thought it is a good base to test the "torch red" for a comparison. So I did. After paintig it it was clear to see, that the "torch red" is a lot of stronger. Nice. The ZR1 came out very well. That was on one Hand bad, because it would has been a shame to put the rest of the kit in a spare box but on the other Hand, my blue ZR1 will have the broken window further on. And I was still Need some rims for this red ZR1. Nevertheless, I built it up. Got the paint and glue of the Windows, polished them and got it a shiny paint Job. The Question About the rims: they are from Revells Porsche Panamera. The fit awesome into the Wheel houses. The rest is out of the box. The head light covers are tinted and that's it. Here it is with my blue ZR1. It was built in 2013. And some Pictures of it alone. Straight out of the box. The rear window cracked after trying to bend it in shap that it fits.

Thank you!

Thank you very much! This kit is hard to get in Germany. The red rims are done with a Kind of a gel marker (borrowed it from my brother) I saw it on Pictures and I had to have it.

Thank you guys :)!

Thank you! I had temporarly two poster of a foreign car on my wall: the 1979 Trans Am and a (what else) Countach. And some advertisments of the old Beetle I like this C4 a lot. I like the new rear end and the "old" front end.
-
Thank you guys The C6 is one of my Favorit builts. The kit goes well together and I like the proportions of the C6.
-
Thank you very much! I got the C7 by FOOSE before the "regular" C7. I like the paintjob on this Corvette. I like, Chip Foose's work on cars.

Thank you very much! The same intention on my side: when the 1953 was painted, it looked stange definitaly. Very strange. But after a while, I was pleased with it and asked myself, why GM didn't paint it in silver. This sounds interessting! After I built the C4R I was asking myself to built more race cars instead the convertibles. Do you have gallery pictures here on mcm?

This is so cool! I like the look of the Decals at the front. A pretty good job ?

Thank you for your kind words! I can't await the C8 as a model kit. If I get one as a die cast, I'd by it too. I bought a C7 Convertible as die cast and repainted it in silver. Didn't show pictures here. On the plan for this year I'll try nearby the convertibles to build the C6R and C7R. I already did the C5R. Two red Corvettes were done to: C6 ZR1 and a C7 built with removable top (clear dark blue) Those three I'm gonna to show next week.

I did.

It's part of my... It was finished on 01.09.2018. Yes, it was done in 2018. It was the first Corvette in my shelf and together with the 1958 C1 the reason to start the silver with black combination. This combination is nice to look on and the red line betwen the Colors just Beautiful. On this kit (a snap kit), I partly painted the body new because of the molding lines. The next issues were the decals - the red Stripes. Aweful. The didn't fit properly. So I painted them too (except the middle ones). Another detailing on the Body was done and like on the C6 I've painted the rims new too.

It's part of my … It was finished on 12.08.2019. It was kit #5 I've finished in 2019. I love this kit and car. It came out so good. No issues. Everything goes Pretty good together. The removable Roof fits good too. So no issues on this model kit. The only Thing what is not out of the box: I painted the rims new.

It's part of my It was finished on 07.09.2019. It was kit #7 I've finished in 2019. I like this kit. No issues except the Hood. It only fits after sanding the sides a Little down. What I hated on this kit: again red Plastics. Learned of the C3 to be really carefull with the paint Job. I painted some more thin layers of clear cote and so I had no Problem with the red bleeding through the paint.

It's part of my … It was finished on 06.06.2019. It was kit #2 I've finished in 2019. In lack of having a 1984 C4 this days, I took the 1990 ZR1. Nearby I built the C4 convertible. I wanted to paint the convertible silver asfar as i saw the decals for the 1987 pace car. So I skiped the convertible and took the ZR1. But I'm gonna Show the pace car here on another place and a convertible will come too. One issue on the C4 model kits is the engine Hood. The hinges are a Little uncool to manage. Nevertheless: it works out somehow

It'S part of my… It was finished on 14.08.2019. It was kit #6 I've finished in 2019. Beautiful. I love the design. I like, how the front bumper lines up to the nose. The only Thing I changed on this kit, is the width of the wheels. Out of the box the stick out of the Wheel housing approx. 2mm. No way. That doesn't work and either look good. I sanded the inner wheels down for a propper fit. Great.

It's a part of my… It was finished on 03.07.2019. It was kit #4 I've finished in 2019. I did not start with the classical split window C2 (which will follow). What else to say? This kit is great. Loved to built it. The only Thing, which sucked: red plastics. I hate it. I painted the Body twice until the red didn't coem through the paint. The first layer was fine until the clear cote was done. Then it had a slightly pinkish Shine. Not acceptable.

It is a part of my It was finished on 08.06.2019. It was kit #3 I've finished in 2019. The kit, wich started the row of my silver Corvettes. This kit is really nice to build. Hmm. Black interior? Yes, black. I think, black wasn't available in 1958. But again: my collection. But after finishing the other C2 later last year, I was thinking About to Change the interior to red. Red on a silver car Looks Always awesome. Maybe I build it again…

It is a part of my It was finished on 02.12.2019. It was kit #9 I've finished in 2019. The good news: it was available in silver! But not with the black inserts at the side So what. I'm remaining to be true to my principles and paint it black on silver again. The same compromise on the interior: red instead of black.

This car is a part of my It was finished on 05.12.2019. It was kit #10 I've finished in 2019. The Purist will say, that the 1953 (or each C1 up to 1957) wasn't available in silver. Yes, sir. That's right but I really don't care! My idea was: silver with black. So pay Attention to the interior. This was the only compromise I took: a red interior. And to be honest: the C1 Looks awesome in silver! Why GM didn't paint it so Beautiful?

I have a Question to you: should I seperate the Topic for each model kit?

Pretty cool! Thank you for the answers! To be honest: I didn't take a close look to the hinges of the Hood in the instruction sheet. I'll do that.
