  1. As I suspected (hoped), driver side is looking way better than passenger side. Not a lot of polishing left to do on this one, but I feel it's been a very good learning experience for a novice such as myself. Certainly far from perfect, but I'm OK with it as it is.
  2. Oh my, I love the Vicky, so I'll be checking to see where you take this. I screwed up the paint on mine, so will be grabbing another.
  3. Body really looks cool. Nice goin'.
  4. I'm partial to blue, but that's just me.
  5. Those colors look excellent!
  6. It's actually coming along nicer than I had planned/hoped, so that pleases me. The underlying paint is real bad in a couple of places, but at this stage, I just intend to finish it, then move on, hopefully having learned something in the process.
  7. Yep, me too, though I'm not yet convinced 100% that I'll bother to try it.
  8. Have you figured out a way to deal with the chrome lips of the hood intake yet, Tom? It appears that no chrome parts are given, nor are any lines molded in as a guide.
  9. Looks just excellent so far. I really need to learn how to paint like that.
  10. OK, here we go again. I'm wanting to proceed with extreme caution here, and yet see how far I can take this thing towards looking good. To that end, I've started vigorously polishing the passenger door. The Drivers side actually has a smoother clear coat, and is the side that will be outwardly displayed (no contests though), so I'm "experimenting" with the passenger side first. I figure if I can make the worst side look OK, the other side should be just as pretty.
  11. I have no ide, but I've certainly seen some that are mighty magnificent. Thanks, Mark, I appreciate it, buddy.
  12. I like it too, Gene. As soon as I'm able, I'll grab another and get painting,... again.
  13. I only have a side shot of my old Mustang, and I don't recall if the stacks lined up well or not. I guess I'll find out on my new one.
  14. Roof all polished up. This photo may be a bit misleading, as clear actually has a bit of haze to it that I can't seem to get rid of,... yet.
  15. I'll be patiently waiting to see more.
  16. I've become a big fan of the Testors metallics. Granted, they're not everyones cup o' tea, but I like them a lot.
  17. On my way home tonight from an appointment, I intend to stop at O'Reilly's and grab some Meguiar's. Tomorrow I start polishing this beast.
  18. Those look excellent for the kit stacks. Nice job.
  19. Works for me, Bill. Oddly enough, I have Photoshop 7 (with about 150 additional filters), but have never really used it for much except resizing pictures. I really should experiment with it some, I guess.
  20. Thanks a bunch, Carl.
  21. Yes, I commented on that, it looks just excellent. Thanks a bunch. If I can keep from trashing it, I'll be a happy guy.
  22. That color looks excellent on the body.
  23. I loved the movie (I've been a Challenger fan for eons), but didn't care for the all white finish. Still, if you want to do it up like the movie, it certainly needs to be white.
  24. Are those the kit stacks, or aftermarket? Somebody out there makes some nice aluminum stacks, and I intend to grab a few sets one of these days.
  25. Very cool project. I really like the Nomads, and will unquestionably be getting a 1:16 kit one of these days, probably a 55 (and maybe a 57 too).
