  1. Certainly. Impatience does occasionally get the better of me, and I usually regret it.
  2. Google, been using it for years.
  3. They may, now that he's gone. In the meanwhile, I have a few of his books (3 I think). Some are also available as free downloads, though that's not everybody's cup of tea.
  4. I like the '59 El Camino, reminds me of one I built way back when, except that mine was purple.
  5. I really like that '32 Ford kit, and intend to grab a few more.
  6. Indeed it is.
  7. Glad to help. I had a very similar airbrush at one time, and it seemed to work just fine for area coverage, if sufficient pressure was available. Like many here, I started out with the compressed air cans, but that got expensive quick, so as soon as was doable, I bought myself a small compressor, and have since moved on to a 20lb CO2 tank.
  8. For a while, I think it was under the more button above, but that feature has stopped working entirely for me.
  9. Finally, 11 months after moving in here, I'm beginning to make progress on the preparation of my "personal space", as in my sleeping/living area. I am such a postponer.
  10. I had the same thought,... $500+ for basically an OOB $25 model? Insane.
  11. I'm a firm believer in the notion that whatever man creates, he can also destroy. I think there's a good reason that the french haven't seen fit to remove them after 70 some odd years.
  12. Yep, just fishing for chumps.
  13. I think that many of them should be left standing as a tribute to the struggles that took place all along the Atlantic wall area of France. I suspect that's why many of them are still standing to this day.
  14. No, I have not, Jim, but I'll certainly be trying lots of different stuff in the coming months/years. The Tamiya stuff does seem to have a good rep here, from all of what I've read so far. Thanks,
  15. OK, thanks. I have sort of a "thing" for Jeeps, having kits in 1:72, 1:48, 1:35, and 1:24, and soon, the Dragon 1:6 scale kit as well.
  16. Oh yea, one tallboy managed to punch a hole through roughly 18' (that's the thickness I read somewhere) of heavily reinforced concrete on one occasion. A lucky shot I think, and not nearly enough to disrupt activities at the complex for very long at all. Must have been frightening to be on the ground though.
  17. This black does indeed seem to be very thin, and I think that could easily cause problems. I used it on the fenders of a '32 Vicky I was working on, and it went on (in light coats) beautifully, without a hitch, but then I really botched the clear, so into the "to strip pile" it went.
  18. You know, I had at one time, the Revell bucket wheel excavator, and as I recall, it had a pretty hefty price tag, though it actually seems to be cheaper now. Either that, or my memory is trashed,... a distinct possibility. . OK, I think I goofed. My bunker is loosely patterned after this one, wherever it is. (It's been a couple of years since I worked on this, so I'm sort of "fuzzy" on the details.
  19. Bruno was actually in Norway, if I recall correctly.
  20. Also, for whatever it's worth, the airbrush you linked to is siphon feed, not gravity.
  21. I'm with you there, Kev. As much trouble as I had gathering what little tangible photo documentation that there seemingly was available, I suspect that no one will be able to prove it wrong, one way or the other. My bunker will end up being an amalgamation of features from several different bunkers, but mostly based on the Bruno installation, and that's perfectly OK with me, as it's the massive nature of the bunker that I want to convey, not any specific features.
  22. I have no clue, but there's some interesting stuff there.
