Most Photo etch suppliers that i know of do not do their own photo etchings, other than provide the original art. Photo etched 'stuff' is expensive - NOT something done in any decent quantity in your kitchen sink, so to speak.....IIRC, talking to Terry Kinnear a few years ago, a sheet of photo etch (cannot remember what it was) costs him $1000.00 plus, for a sheet around 2X2 or 3X3 feet., maybe larger .........'Z'

I would like to see the roadster re issued. Wasn't interested at the time; my tastes have changed. Plus, I believe the wheel tire combo is one of the best representations of street rod 'big n littles' out there. Wish that Revell would do tire packs like AMT, think they would sell very well......'Z'

No matter what you use, a good test to see if the stuff is clean, is to put a piece of masking tape on the resin casting. If it still has any residue on it, the tape usually won't stick well. Now, I'm not guaranteeing it's clean, but if the tape won't stick....IT AIN'T ! Not much worse than priming a body and having the primer flake off, because it's not clean IMHO

Yes, those 'paddle ' wheels are just plain a PAIN IN THE BUTT !

Great job ! Working on one of these myself, with a Revell snap 34 Ford front grille. Tryin to decide if I want to use the engine supplied or drop some other engine in the front. There IS room, if you do some modifications........'Z'

I do not have a website. I sell under 'Steven Zimmerman' on Face Book, and at shows, like NNL EAST, Toledo NNL, Detroit NNL and most local shows in the Pittsburgh, Erie, Cleveland area........ I am not capable of making enough product to sustain the sales a website would generate; have seen too many 'small' castors go out of business because they couldn't handle the volume - 'nuffsaid..........'Z'

Carb cleaner, right out of the can. Spray copious amounts of it through the supplied 'little red tube', into the paint inlet on the brush, while shooting bursts of air through the brush. I also flush through the trigger opening, again while working the trigger, and I flush the outer brush body, and the front orifice . I learned this trick, many years ago, doing custom paint at a local body shop. I have done this for years, with various types / brands of airbrushes; haven't seen any break down of the airbrush parts yet..........'Z'

We need this in resin. I know there are several resin versions out there, and I have purchased most that I'm aware of. Yet, they all just aren't quite right. I will be following this with great interest.....'Z'

Regular superglue has worked on just about every tire I have had problems with. Yes, 'Gorilla Glue' expands, but their superglue does not. I buy the cheap superglue at Walmart, 4 tubes for about a buck and a half; I go through a tube a week.

My take on this, after 50 years experience ? I NEVER had an airbrush, cheap or expensive, that didn't do what I bought it for. Just getting started? you can buy a cheap airbrush at Harbor Freight for under 30 bucks that will do a good job. If you decide airbrushing is not your forte', you're not out a bunch of $$. Treat them with respect, clean them religiously, PRACTICE PRACTICE PRACTICE ! You need to get to the point that you don't have to 'think' about what you're doing, it will become second nature. I have about 10 I've bought over the years,Cheap (7 bucks) and expensive. All work well, if you learn their limits and use accordingly. Only thing I would stay away from are those TESTORS (I think), that use a can of propellant, and come with those little bottles of paint. Invest in a good, dependable compressor; again HF has them on sale often for under 50 bucks that will do the job just fine, and get a moisture trap. Learn to disassemble and assemble that brush blindfolded and learn to clean it. My choice for cleaning is spray carb cleaner, but that's just me.....'Z'

I have known Bob, and bought his products - for years, and not only is he a great guy, but has a great product. I had some chrome done by him last fall and it was fantastic and I recommend him highly. I have a large order of chrome at his place right now, to fill my wheel racks for NNL EAST...........'Z'

Wow, haven't seen that F&F body / kit for a long time ! I mastered that for Ed, some 18 years ago..........'Z'

AMT 40 Plymouth, left grille is nowhere NEAR a mirror image of the right grille. Openings for the grille in the body are off, also.
