  1. I started off with this build: 1960 Chevrolet Impala by Revell. I want to build it stock, very close to the original. So I chose red as body color with a white roof. The interior is matching, with decals from the box. Most of the chrome work I did with Molotow Liquid Chrome, which works great. E.g. I chromed the "W" valve covers of the 348 ci V8 simply with a brush (no air brush needed) and I applied it also to the stock air cleaner, to give the car a little "dress up".
  2. Thanks, Mr. Mopar, I changed the name from Dart to Coronet.
  3. Another one of my older builds is this 1967 Dodge Coronet (Revell-Monogram). It does not quite match the quality of my actual builds and over the years of storage the front molding of the hood has disappeared, but nevertheless, here we go ....
  4. Thank You, guys! Color must have been Titanium Gold oder Titanium Silver (Tamiya rattle can) if I recall ... built the Belvedere already five oder six years ago.
  5. Before starting off to a new build, I want to show You a model, I built some years ago: Lindberg's 1964 Plymouth Belvedere 426 Commando
  6. @ David (Anglia105E): The Color I used for the Body is Tamiya Titanium Silver (TS-68). @ Jay (Perspective Customs): I used a Molotow 1mm and a 4 mm pen for smaller parts. The bumpers where rechromed with a brush using liquid Chrome out of the refill "tank". I did not have to use an air-brush to apply, as You can see the bumpers came out very well.
  7. Thank You Steve, Yes, I know that the proportions of the kit are not correct, but I build it straight out of the box, with a lot of parts and details ... at least one positive thing on this kit. Regards Ludwig
  8. Just finished this kit after a long period of time. Chrome plated parts were very poor in the kit - looked like matt aluminum - had to be rechromed. I used Molotows Liquid Chrome which worked excellent.
  9. Thanks everybody!
  10. Thanks Monty! I used Tamiya TS-54 (Light metallic blue) for the body and a mixture of blue shades for the interior. Ludwig
  11. Thank You guys for Your positive comments!
  12. A vintage Jo-Han kit. Fun to build and very precisely manufactured back in the day.
  13. Thanks guys! I would like to build more or thoses huge fullsize cars and station wagons of the early 1970s but there are not very much of those available as 1:25 model kits.
  14. I built this kit which was intended as a police car as a family cruiser. Exterior Paint is Tamiya pearl blue.
  15. some additional photos taken outside this afternoon:
  16. Thanks! I tinted the windshield with "clear blue" (can) by Tamiya. But I never mask the lower section of the windshield for a realistic look of that stripe, so You have to pay attention not to apply too much of that clear blue. Best way is to train on a clear part You don't need anymore to get used to it.
  17. Thank You guys! Patrick: Exterior color is Tamiya light sand metallic (TS 700), interior color ist wooden deck tan (TS 68), both rattle cans.
  18. 1958 Ford TBird (Revell-Monogram), mildly customized.
  19. Mark, I used a mixture of blue and chrome silver - both Tamiya colors - for the interior and sprayed it by air brush.
  20. Thank You, guys!
  21. A reissue of AMT's 65 Lincoln Continental. An old kit with may custom parts allowin to build a station wagon (that never existed, of course) except for a set of white walls.
  22. Thanks again, guys! @#70 Grande (Mark): I attached a stripe of BMF to the section if the Body, where I had to glue on the taillights, since real lights and taillights have chromes reflectors. I gave to red clear plastic parts a touch up with "Chrom silver" (Testors) and a halfway dry brush wo emphasize to small Chrome bezels around the tailligths, including the vertical lights which separate the three Chambers. Ludwig
  23. Thanks for Your kind words on my 66 Impala. A very good kit from Revell-Monogram by the way, it was fun to build. Best regards Ludwig
