  1. Just finished this kit after a long period of time. Chrome plated parts were very poor in the kit - looked like matt aluminum - had to be rechromed. I used Molotows Liquid Chrome which worked excellent.
  2. Thanks everybody!
  3. Thanks Monty! I used Tamiya TS-54 (Light metallic blue) for the body and a mixture of blue shades for the interior. Ludwig
  4. Thank You guys for Your positive comments!
  5. A vintage Jo-Han kit. Fun to build and very precisely manufactured back in the day.
  6. Thanks guys! I would like to build more or thoses huge fullsize cars and station wagons of the early 1970s but there are not very much of those available as 1:25 model kits.
  7. I built this kit which was intended as a police car as a family cruiser. Exterior Paint is Tamiya pearl blue.
  8. some additional photos taken outside this afternoon:
  9. Thanks! I tinted the windshield with "clear blue" (can) by Tamiya. But I never mask the lower section of the windshield for a realistic look of that stripe, so You have to pay attention not to apply too much of that clear blue. Best way is to train on a clear part You don't need anymore to get used to it.
  10. Thank You guys! Patrick: Exterior color is Tamiya light sand metallic (TS 700), interior color ist wooden deck tan (TS 68), both rattle cans.
  11. 1958 Ford TBird (Revell-Monogram), mildly customized.
  12. Mark, I used a mixture of blue and chrome silver - both Tamiya colors - for the interior and sprayed it by air brush.
  13. Thank You, guys!
  14. A reissue of AMT's 65 Lincoln Continental. An old kit with may custom parts allowin to build a station wagon (that never existed, of course) except for a set of white walls.
  15. Thanks again, guys! @#70 Grande (Mark): I attached a stripe of BMF to the section if the Body, where I had to glue on the taillights, since real lights and taillights have chromes reflectors. I gave to red clear plastic parts a touch up with "Chrom silver" (Testors) and a halfway dry brush wo emphasize to small Chrome bezels around the tailligths, including the vertical lights which separate the three Chambers. Ludwig
  16. Thanks for Your kind words on my 66 Impala. A very good kit from Revell-Monogram by the way, it was fun to build. Best regards Ludwig
  17. This is my 1966 Chevrolet Impala SS 396 (Revell-Monogram), a real "Rhapsody in blue" .... Body color is Tamiya TS-54 "light metallic blue", which comes close to original "Marina Blue". Interior has been painted by hand with a mixture of Tamiya colors. Straight out of the box except for two BMF- chromed tips and the end of the exhaust pipes.
  18. I finished this build today. See new photos of my 1966 Impala "under glass".
  19. Meanwhile I put the interior into the body and connected it to the chassis.
  20. I started off with a Revell 1966 Chevy Impala SS 396. I wanted to get close to a factory color "Marina blue" with a matching two tone blue interior.
  21. Thank You, guys! Yes, it seems that the color came close to "Panter Pink" which was available in 1969.
  22. 1969 Plymouth Barracuda: Just another old MPC-kit with new decals and new box art. So I did not build the engine. Paint is Tamiya TS 37 (Lavender) with TS 65 (Pearl Clear).
