I started off with this kit of a 70 Monte Carlo, which can be built as lowrider. I am not sure if I am going to build it as a lowrider or as a customized car. Anyway - I painted the body with a mixture of yellow, gold and transparent red to achieve this "candy red" look.

Thank You guys! Here's a photo I took today, doing a test fit of body and chassis:

Body Color is light blue metallic by Tamiya. No clear coat, only two rounds with Meguiars wax.

I started off with this model kit from Revell: 1970 Ford Torino GT.

Thank You all for Your positie comments! No PE parts were used on the grill. It is only the washing which makes it look like that. It was the kit by Revell USA I built.

Soon she will be rolling off the work bench...

Yes, as Crowe-t mentioned, Tamiya TS-92 Orange Metallic is the color I used. Thanks to all for Your comments!

Thank You very much for Your comments and kind words! @ Harry Joy: I use Tamiya sprays of the "TS"-series which are especially produced for that sort of plastic our model kits are usually made of. Once I bought a can of "PS" Tamiya spray without noticing it was the wrong spray and it did not stick to the ground and simply built "noses" on the body of the car. I can recommend Tamiya's "TS"-sprays. I use them for all my builds along with white primer, also from Tamiya, because they work very well together.

Finally done: 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 1:25 (Revell). This rare color combination was available with the car back in the day. I used Tamiya spray (orange metallic/sand) which came quite close. I wanted to create an "elegant" looking Charger, not the often shown "mean" looking black painted Chargers (of course a 69 Charger is definitely mean by nature :-) All parts are out of the box. Very precise, it was fun to build. But I was to lazy to do all the wiring and plumbing under the hood.

Great idea to build the Galaxie timeline from 1959-1970. I have started the same project, but need still kits of the 67 and 68. As You can see in my photo I have a real 62 Galaxie in the garage.

Udate June, 6: I made a little progress with my 69 Charger within the last days, so I can show You the rear end and the door panels today.

Update: Meanwhile I have finished the chassis and the wheels. I prefer to build the car with ww-tires:

Great job, Jeff! Since I have a real 62 Galaxie 500 in my Garage, I love to see the car built in a hot 1:25 version. Whish I had that old AMT-kit, too! Ludwig
