  1. I started with a new kit, the 1947 Chevy Coupe from Galaxie Ltd. which is going to be a custom carSo I started off with the paint. I choose "Pink" by Tamiya which I covered with thwo layers of Tamiya's pearl clear (TS 65). I think these photos demonstrate how the pearl clear looks on the base color.
  2. Thank You very much, guys! Jim: The color I used is Titanium silver by Tamia, which seems to be a mitxture of gold and silver. David: Thanks for Your kind words concerning my style of photography.
  3. Color is Titanium Silver by Tamiya
  4. Thank You, guys! Misha: Yes, I used BMF (new improved chrome). Ludwig
  5. UPDATE 2-5-2017: Model kit completed (check the "under glass" section, please).
  6. Based on Revell's 1957 Ford Del Rio kit I built my version of this model-kit as a mild custom. I used "Silver Leaf" color by Tamiya to give it an over all clean look. Wheels are from my parts bin, as well as the airplane ornament on the hood which refers to those ornaments used on the 1951 and 52 Ford Victorias. Did some wiring and plumbing under the hood, painted to grill semi-gloss black and frenched the headlights. My Ford class of 57: Custom, Del Rio Ranch Wagon, Ranchero Custom
  7. Update: February,4th.
  8. Thanks guys! Here is a "sneak preview" on the interior: Since the kit only featured green decals for the seats, I gave them a greyish color with golden accents, in order to match the body color scheme.
  9. I think they came from an AMT 1976 Chevy Caprice kit
  10. Yes, another 57 Ford Del Rio Wagon, but not stock. I decided to build this kit as a mild custom. So I frenched the headlights to obtain another look and I also installed another set of wheels ...
  11. I added the front valance pan. Now the car is complete!
  12. Thanks guys! Yes, the wheels are from a 1970 Buick Wildcat (Model King), but I think, they look great on this TBird. Steve, You aren't mistaken: the front valance Panel is missing ... since this AMT-kit includes such a lot of customizing parts, I must have considered this sepecial part to be one of those. Thanks for Your comment and I will fix that tonight. and shoot a new photo tomorrow. Ludwig
  13. I thought I was already done for 2016 concerning my builds, but I finished this red bird today.
  14. Thank You guys! Glad to see that You like my model. Here two additional photos taken with a 1961 Oldsmobile F 85 Cutlass, I built some time ago:
  15. 1967 Dodge Charger 1961 Pontiac Ventura 1956 Chevrolet Nomad 1970 Pontiac Bonneville Convertible 1971 Plymouth Duster 340 1969 Dodge Charger R/T 1965 Ford Mustang 2+2 1970 Ford Torino GT 1959 Chrysler Imperial Convertible 1961 Oldsmobile F 85 Station Wagon
  16. Thank You guys! I forgot to mention that I did not build the model 100 % stock, but in a mild custom Version, using some of the additional parts of the kit as full cover the moon discs or the continental kit. But I think, the 59 Imperial Looks very good this way.
  17. I started off with this kit of a 70 Monte Carlo, which can be built as lowrider. I am not sure if I am going to build it as a lowrider or as a customized car. Anyway - I painted the body with a mixture of yellow, gold and transparent red to achieve this "candy red" look.
  18. Hello everybody! Thank You very much for your positive comments to my 70 Torino!
  19. New photos of the work in progress (updated 9-22):
  20. Thank You guys! Here's a photo I took today, doing a test fit of body and chassis:
  21. Body Color is light blue metallic by Tamiya. No clear coat, only two rounds with Meguiars wax.
