  1. Thank You guys! Good to see the positive reactions on my "Galaxie Lowrider" - project.
  2. Great 63 Galaxie! I love those big Fords of the 60s.
  3. Thank You, guys! As 62rebel wrote, You have the choice between several holes in the chassis to put the metal axles in - no problem in the engine department, since the model doesn't have a motor - so it is possible to lower or rise the car for the photographer. Ludwig
  4. Since the early 1960s Impalas are usually the base for lowriders, I thought about turning an early 1960s Fullsize Ford Galaxie into a "lowrider". I used a1961 AMT Ford Galaxie kit along with a set of Pegasus wheels. Paint is Tamiya peral white.
  5. @ Tom: The paint used for the interior is "light metallic blue" (Tamiya) which comes close to those shiny vinyl seat covers used in the 60s. @ Stray: The dashbord was painted in "light metallic blue" and semi-gloss black, using the decals for the speedometer included in the kit.
  6. Hello and thanks to all for Your comments on this Station Wagon. It seems to me that a lot of You would also appreciate to see more wagon- and four door-kits in the hobby shops. Ludwig
  7. (I could not resist to put a floor shift and additional gauges to make a really "sporty" wagon).
  8. Gorgeous model and a good example to show how a stock Impala kit can be transformed into an outstanding model!
  9. Steve, that's a gorgeous model You created! I love the old Fullsize Fords and this one of 1958 is a very rare one in the 1:25 "world". Best regards (from a 1:1 owner of a 62 Ford Galaxie) Ludwig
  10. Congratulations! This Nova has the typical muscle-car looks and You chose a color, that was very popular with late 60s Chevys. Superb!
  11. Thank You for Your comments. I think, the color combination suits the car very well. Aluminum-silver metallic / white was available from 1960 on, except for the 1963 models. But in the 1:25 scale, everything is possible.
  12. Hello guys! Thank You very much for Your comments on this 57 Ranchero. Bob: I tinted the glass with Tamiya Clear Blue. Ludwig
  13. Hi John, very nice 57 Ford. I built the 57 Ranchero last summer - seems to be the "cousin" of Your Fairlane, since I did it in the same color combo as Yours. I love old fullsize Fords! Ludwig
  14. An older kit from Revell (released around 1995) I built last summer. The kit consisted of two body-halfs which had to be glued together, so there was a little gap on the top of the front fenders I covered with flame decals. The kit had already a top chop. I used the wheel/tire combo which was included but gave a little "Thunderbird-Upgrade" to the 312 cui YBlock (air-cleaner and valve covers).
  15. Thank You very much for all these postive comments on my model! I also appreciate very much that You like the color combo I have chosen for this icon of the sixties. Ludwig
  16. Hi Adam, on German TV they also broadcasted - and still do today - the "Olsen Gang". Also because of the vintage American cars they drove, I am a big fan of this series. Mostly they had Chevys but I recall that in one Episode the even had a 1960 Plymouth (Savoy? Belvedere?) with BIG tailfins. Regards Ludwig
  17. Thank You guys! The redline on the tires is a waterslide decal. Ludwig
  18. Another model I built last year is this 1964 Pontiac GTO - an icon of the muscle car years. While the kit is offered 2' n 1, I decided to build it bone stock, according to the looks back in the day. Since it started to rain while I took the photos of the model, there are some litte rain drops on the hood and on the deck lid. Nevertheless: Enjoy!
  19. Thanks a lot! Pat: It's a large photograph, glued on cardboard. Ludwig
  20. Thanks Andrew and M.R.Dalton. No, that's not my airplane behind those doors, it's the garage for all the models I have built throughout the years
  21. Thanks! The color I used is Tamya's "Marone" TS-11 (spray can).
  22. So this is my first build in 2015 and my first new model here in this forum. I dediced to paint the pony-car in "vintage burgundy" - a color which was available in 64 teamed up to a "sand" colored interior. To give it a more realistic look, I gave the windshield a litte shot with "clear blue" (Tamiya) so imitate tinted glass. Also the carpet got a little flocking.
