  1. Thanks JC. Hope it will be a quick, fun, clean build.
  2. Thanks Carl!!
  3. My next build on the bench is going to be a tow rig. I decided to go with the first gen Ford Raptor in Blue Flame Metallic, custom mixed by Scale Finishes, and will be topped with Splash Paints 2k clear. I have always loved the look of these trucks even though I’m a Chevy guy. I ordered some BFG Mud Terrains and a trailer hitch from Scenes Unlimited. I also have an Aoshima Trailer that will be built after this build is complete. I started by sanding off all the mold lines, then I took care of all the panel lines. The fender flare panel lines were non existent, so this had to be address as seen in the pictures. It was a long process, but as can be seen after primer, it was all worth it.
  4. This build is ridiculously clean. The amount of detail in the engine bay is amazing for a 1/24 Scale build. What did you use on wiring harness on the firewall? It looks real!
  5. Thanks man. The color is definitely my favorite on these cars. I wanted to add some cf, but didn’t want to over do it. The hood is often over done, but the roof is overlooked. Thank you ! Thanks!
  6. Thank you, for how little there is there to actually work with I am pleased with how it turned out.
  7. Awesome looking paint job!
  8. Thanks again guys!!
  9. Super clean build. My dad has this exact car back in the 80s. I have one to build myself, not a reissue though. What paint did you use? Mulsanne Blue is a great color on these cars.
  10. Glad to call this one done. Check it out underglass
  11. Thank you man! Yes it is definitely killing the economy and people’s jobs for sure. Automotive industries are definitely suffering, we knew it would get us but not this long.
  12. Thank you very much! Thanks a lot. Perfect paint on this one was a must for sure. Thanks! Thank you, not bad for an Iphone10 right? Lol Thank you Thank you! Thank you! Nissan knocked it out of the park with this color for sure.
  13. Thank you very much Rich! I’m super pleased with the outcome of this one.
  14. I’m glad to call this one done. It turned out just as good, if not better than I anticipated. The kit is a Tamiya 1/24 Scale Nissan R35 GT-R. It is finished in Splash Paints Nissan Katsura Orange, and the lower panels are finished in Tamiya X10 Gunmetal. It is all topped with Splash Paints 2k Clear Coat. The wheels used are Hobby Design Volk TE37’s with Hobby Design Valve Stems. They are painted using Dupli-Color Bronze wheel paint. I also used the Tamiya Photo Etch kit as it had better exhaust tips and mesh for all the bumper openings. The GT-R and Nissan emblems are Hobby Design as well. They are much more detailed than the ones that come in the kit. All carbon fiber decals were self made using Tamiya Fine Weave Carbon Fiber Decals. The interior was sprayed in Tamiya Acrylic Semi Gloss Black as well as flocked with light grey flocking. All other parts were sprayed using a variety of Tamiya Acrylics. Thanks for looking. Now on to the next one!
  15. Man I have been busy working on 1:1s again lol. I haven’t had time for the bench lately until this stupid quarantine and being out of work. I did get the body cleared in Splash Paints 2k clear, as well as wet sanded and polished out. I have taped up the trim and sprayed it as well as under the hood in preparation to be detailed. I also got the tail lights, side marker lights and the vents installed. Finally I got the panel lines detailed. This one is coming along very nicely and I can’t wait to get it all finished up and get some final pictures of it.
  16. Thanks, this was first started over 2 years ago when I didn't have any customized stuff under my belt. Too much had been done to go back and tear apart to repaint for a lower rear, lol.
  17. Looks Great! I wish I would have slammed my rear end a little more. How did you get yours lower? And you are right, the glass fit like dookie. I had to do a lot of filing to make it fit even close.
  18. Thank you for the response. It looks great! I am going to be doing a Revell Snaptite Ford Raptor as a Tow Rig and have ordered both the bumper mount, and full Reese hitch from them.
  19. Thank you Tom. This kit was indeed a nightmare on the fit and finish. A lot had to be modified or tweaked where it would even fit half way decent. It was way more work than what I wanted to put into it, I guess I have been spoiled by Tamiya kits for too long. This will probably be my last AMT kit, lol.
  20. Man that’s a sick car for sure. And yes I got the same Scale Motorsports copper weave and they blew up when they touched water. Im glad to see the tag is blurred out. Someone locally snapped a pic of my evo one evening and posted it all over Facebook, commenting on wishing they had one. Well I wasn’t friends with that person but a guy I work with is and he sent it to me. I Told him thanks for the comments, but at least please blur the tag. Some people don’t get it.
  21. Got the interior and chassis finished tonight. I can’t put the exhaust tips on until the chassis is in the body.
  22. Thanks Dann. Maybe I can get this thing clear coated this weekend
  23. This is an awesome build! This looks so clean and sleeper.
