Thanks man I'd love to have a clean FD with a nicely built LS in it...you're right it'd be a blast to drive. Haven't done any polishing yet either.

Been working on this one on and off for a couple of months now. Work and other home projects keep me from having all the time I want to work on it tied up. With all the rain we have been getting the past 2 weeks, I have gotten a good bit done though. Started out with the Tamiya RX-7 R1 kit. Scored a Revell ZL-1 engine and some Fujimi Enkie NT03's off of Ebay. Took a lot of massaging to get the LSA in and actually look good, as well as making up a Y Pipe. Other than that lowered it a little and the rest is all stock. Just got the body painted and cleared a couple weeks ago, still have to polish it and tape it up to paint all the black trim. But the shine is awesome without even polishing.

Thanks Mike! I'll have to make it a point to come to both of these. Hopefully will be able to be off of work. Will someone post up a date for the May show as it gets closer?

I know this is an old thread, but is there any shows/swap meets coming to the Spartanburg/Greenville SC area anytime soon? Never been to one, just got back into the hobby, would love to go check out some work and score some kits.

Same here, I'd love to know if I could get this wing somewhere else, it looks way better than the standard one. I started the same Tamiya kit as you, but will be making mine with an LSA Swap from the ZL1 Camaro kit Although, I do love the front bumper on the later model FD's such as the Fujimi kit, and the one pictured below. May just have to buy the kit anyway, haha. Here is my inspiration, I did luck up and find the Fujimi NT03 wheels on ebay, so I hurried up and snatched them, lol

Thanks. Also, from googling images of the ts-16 yellow, it looks too light, or lemon colored. I did notice that camel yellow looks way too dark, with a brown hue to it.

What's up guys? I recently scored 2 C5R Revell Kits off of Ebay. One being Earnhardt's 24 hrs of Daytona C5R, and the other being the #63/64 Revell Germany Kit from 24 hrs of Le Mans (2001.) I haven't been successful in finding the correct color of yellow to spray these two cars. I do not have an airbrush, so I'm looking for the closest color of Tamiya Spray paint that would be correct. Which would be closer to the correct color, TS-16 Yellow.....or, TS-47 Chrome Yellow? I have never used either of these, but from looking online, it seems that the Chrome Yellow would be the closer/darker of the two. Just wanting to see if anyone could suggest anything before I bought 2 or 3 cans of either of them. Thanks, Scott

I know this is bringing one back from the dead, but can someone please tell me what color of Tamiya Yellow was used on the C5R? I just bought one of these kits and would like for the color to be as close to millennium yellow as possible. Thanks!

Love this build. I have one of these in my closet right now. What color of tan did you use on the interior for the base? It looks spot on.

Love the Diorama. Hope you can find a General Lee model floating around that isn't going to be priced through the roof....with all this flag BS we have going on now
