Has anybody heard of Draggin Plastic?
cooltoys1 replied to Blu_Hawke's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thats the "infamous" Wendell Sowers of AFX N Scale Resin Co. Its best to STAY AWAY! Long history of poor business practices and the like. If you send them money, treat it more like a donation than a purchase, youll never get your items. Even through the legitamacy and cushyness of ebay, ill almost guarantee you will not recieve your item(s) You can obviously do what you please, but there have been long discussions here and on "the other" board regarding these people. Best of luck my modeling friend. If i knew where else to get those caps i would steer you to them. Jay -
Nice Job Rasin! One of my all time faves, although i never got the nerve to try to build one Jay

Hi Folks! I was wondering if there is anyone out there who can help me out. I have heard for months now about WalMart selling the House of Color line in a spray can. Here in Buffalo, Our Wallys dont carry it. I am desperatly looking for some alternative colors other than the same ###### that is in the Hobby Shops here. I need someone i can hook up with who would be willing to pick me up some colors and mail them to me in Buffalo NY. Id really like to broadenmy horizons and start working with these House of Color paints. It would only be a small order, maybe 2 different colors, and maybe 2 or 3 cans of each(for screw ups) Can anyone help me out? I would be able to pay you either via-paypal or money order. Please of course mark it up to cover your costs, travel time etc. Thanks in advance! Jason Cooltoys1

Wide Body Mitsu Starion / Conquest?
cooltoys1 replied to outsider's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have 3 Mitsubishi Starion kits here, and i am working on the TSI version conversion. Its been a while since i did anything with it, but now i have a renewed fixation with it. Do any one of our slushers(resin casters) wanna step up to the plate and cast off of my TSI? Its a ways away from completion, but it will be very accurate since i have had 3 1:1 Conquests' and i am very familiar with the sexy bodystyle. Jay -
Front whitewalls are from the kit, but the rears are cut white vinyl stuck to the goodyear slick (the smooth side with no raised goodyear) Jay

Created from a gratious gift from John(GMCMAN52) this 40 Ford was a vintage buildup that someone had used alot of extra glue. I carefully tore her down and saved what i could ( i wish i would have taken some before shots) and built this period correct gasser straight out of the 50s. I used all vintage parts, either from the original buildup or the parts box and this is what ive created! Hope you like it John, cheers to you for giving me the opportunity to make My Dad happy and me happy at the same time. Jay

Walt, What kind of turnout have you had in the past? Just asking, cuz i may grab 3 of my model buds and make the trek from Buffalo NY. Jay

Barely 'cuda Ii Engine Question...
cooltoys1 replied to Darin Bastedo's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Looking forward to watching this transpire. Big fan of Barely Cuda I. In my opinion, the best looking kitted Hemi is the Landy Charger-Revell/Monogram. I feel that it has a great amount of detail for 360 degree viewing. Add a custom intake and/or fuel injection and WOW! I have a few if you want one. Jay -

I dont know, is that name corny? If so, ill try to think of another. Any Ideas??? Here we have a Linberg 61 Impala convert crossed with a ZR1 Vette. She will have all the vette driveline and interior, but the 18" Halibrand wheels from Pegasus. Im thinking of bright yella paint, tan leather interior. I was inspired by Darins' "Barely Cuda", nice job Darin!

Chevy 396 and 454 externally similar?
cooltoys1 replied to kurth's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
The Big Block that we all know and love was introduced in 1965, but the big block "block" itself was actually very close to the 409, just different heads. Any kitted big block chevy 396 designation can be used for your 454 application. The only difference is in 1:1 truck blocks(they have a higher deck, the distance from the top of the waterpump and the ledge where the intake sits) open and closed chamber heads (which you dont have to worry about this in kit form)and alternator placement. In 1978, the big block chevy 454 was not put in any car, but you could still get it in the heavy duty chevrolet truck line. If your going to use it in a vette, i suggest the later alternator placement, which is placed on the passenger side of the car. The 396 in the 66 Chevelle will have the alternater on the driver side, if anything, find a pulley and alternator setup for placement on the right. Good luck to you, please show us your progress! Hope this helps. Jay
