Completely awesome, as usual. A beautiful build of a beautiful car. Do you use BMF for your chrome?

Sweet! Looks about perfect to me.

Never saw the movie but I sure like what you did with that model. Beautiful. -

Can I just hire you to build my models? -
Distributors

They mention that they ship only once every ten days. Apparently they're located in Dogpatch. With so many other options I'll skip them. -

Those look nice but I was not able to find a way to order them. Does the guy have a web site or just the Facebook page? Chris, thanks for the info on working with resin. I already mostly use superglue since I like to paint parts before attaching them. The local hobby store carries the Parts by Parks distributors, so I got one of those. I'll be ordering one or two of the other kinds as well so I can compare them myself. -

Very helpful pics. I've never worked with resin parts. Do they require a special kind of paint, or can I use whatever I've been using for polystyrene? -

Lots of great info! Thanks! -
Ha! Yes, it plugs into the cigarette lighter. Works as a turn signal, too. Good old JC Whitney. They seemed to have dropped a lot of that cool stuff from their line.

These seem to be the most common distributors being sold. Any comments on one versus the other? Looks? Ease of installation? Refreshing flavor?

Thanks, Tim! -
You'll notice I didn't get real close with the camera.

Thanks all for the encouragement. Much appreciated! I'm getting dangerously close to finishing this thing...I went out today and got the paint for the next kit. Don't want to risk going to long without a plastic fix. Body has been repainted and finished. No cracks in the clear coat this time. PE and BMF applied. This was my first crack at BMF, so the results are not great, but not terrible I hope. I need to attach the windshield and the other chrome stuff, and then it's final assembly time.

Good idea, Steve. I ended up stripping it so I'll have a chance to try doing the panel lines again.

Thanks for the offer, Mike. Here's what I have on hand: 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1200, 1500, 2000, 2400, 15000, 20000, 30000, 40000, 60000. I would hope that would be enough. I can get some more grades between 2400 and 15000 if I need to. Can't use wet sandpaper on acrylics, or so I understand. What is the advantage of wet sanding, anyway? -

I have some micro fine sanding films. Maybe I'll try those. Perfect weather, ain't it? We have irises, columbines, tulips, lilacs, and more.
