  1. I'll be watching. Looks awesome so far.
  2. Update. Almost finished with this one. I don't know what an air cleaner would look like for it.
  3. Being built alongside my Dodge, and several other resin trucks like A Marmon cabover, and a Diamond Reo cabover, is this Hayes. This one is supposed to look like an old retired truck. It's been through a lot and even had a door replaced at some point it It's life. The chassis is from an AMT Road Boss, the rims and tires are from a GMC Astro kit. It's not easy to see in the pics but I did make them look rusty.
  4. Some more progress. Getting close to finishing it. I used plastic from mail envelopes for the glass.
  5. Yeah I thought I had the wrong numbers on it. I have one that's a sleeper cab I finished a couple years ago.
  6. This is a better pic of the place in the cab.
  7. Got this little daycab Dodge in a trade. It was just the cab but it was in pretty good shape. I got a lot of great random parts with it. There's a place right on the roof that just won't sand smooth or fill with putty and look right so it's staying I guess. I used a FLD interior tub. Had to butcher it good to make it fit but it's working now. The frame (I think) is from a 359 California Hauler. I've shortened it it was already shortened once. And it's going to get shortened again. The engine is from a junked Titan 90. The rims are from my stash. Just random wheels. I've got to get glass for it.
  8. You guys are right about Krylon too. It's just as bad if not worse than Rustoleum. It say at the top of every can. No drips, no runs, no errors. But that's all lies from them. I've got one can of Krylon that is the worst can of paint I've ever seen. It runs like water and if it does bond to anything in some miracle it's a very thin coat. And if I spray back over it with the SAME can of paint, it wrinkles up every time.
  9. Of course. I always do. Some of the cans do well. While others don't.
  10. I have recently bought several cans of assorted colors of Rustoleum paints. They are like spraying colored water on my models. Even primer is bad. It runs off soon as it hits the parts I spray it on. Is anyone else having this issue with Rustoleum?
  11. I've got one. Possibly the only one that exists.
  12. I'm getting up to 72 myself. All 1/24th 1/25th semi trucks. I've got five now I'm working on.
  13. My cabs are on their way. I have a tracking number now for them.
  14. Thanks. And I know a lot of the story. He told me a couple days ago in a text. He said he'd mail my cabs today. I'm going through a lot myself. My mom is in the hospital in intensive care. My mind is going in a dozen different directions right now.
  15. Ok I posted a question about where to get resin cabs from and I mentioned the only place I knew of to get them from was gone. Yes I was talking about Keystone Miniature Models. Some of you have said they are making a new site. I ordered 2 cabs from them for $190 just before they shut their site down. I text them a couple days ago and they informed me I would still be getting my cabs and they would be in the mail either yesterday or today. I haven't heard anything since yesterday. I've sent 2 text and tried calling just now. The phone goes straight to voice mail. I really want the cabs but I'm worried I'll have to do a charge back through PayPal.
  16. I have two cabs ordered from him. He has taken his site down. He was supposed to mail my cabs out yesterday. Then said he would today. I haven't heard anything from him though. I'm afraid I'm going to have to do a charge back through PayPal.
  17. I haven't done it, but cut away at it and try. If you mess it up I have you covered. I know I have at least one extra in my parts box I can give you.
  18. Their old website is gone. I've heard they went out of business.
  19. Anyone know of a site to get resin semi truck cabs? I'm looking for several, but one in particular is a Brockway like the one that flips over in Convoy. I'd appreciate any answers. The site I did buy from is no more.
  20. I didn't notice it was warped before I painted it. I just left all of the chassis parts on the trees when I painted them. But it looks like it's going to be ok. I glued everything together and with the engine it's almost perfectly straight.
  21. I have a brand new Moebius International Lonestar kit. These kits are expensive as everyone knows. Anyway one of my frame rails is warped so bad it has a corkscrew like effect to it. I haven't tried gluing it to the other rail and cross members yet I'm afraid to. I paid way to much for this kit for one piece of it to scrap the whole kit. Has anyone else had this problem, and how can it be fixed? Here's a couple of pictures of the warped rail.
  22. On this project we have a Astro 95 cab. I'm trying to make it into a Western Star cabover. I took the grill from the AMT WS conventional cut it to fit on the front of the Astro cab. Took the headlight backings from the WS and put them behind where the Astro Bezels go. And this is were it is now. I can't get any headlight bezels to fit. I need some square ones.
  23. You think so too? You're the second person to tell me it looks good like that. And I agree with both of you. The plan all along was to have it look tired and weathered. I may just leave it like this.
