  1. Nice work!! I've been wanting to putting one of these together myself. I built a resin version years ago, but sold it. This was always one of my favorite cabs. Looking forward to seeing more.
  2. Very nice! The drive tires are a nice touch!
  3. The only Italeri kits that I have built were the Western Stars, and it has been a lot of years since I built one of those. Like Sean said, I fully assembled the cab first. On the bottom inside of the cab are two ridges that the floor fits in between. I cut the lower ridge off, all of the way around leaving the upper ridge so that the completed interior could be inserted from the bottom with the cab fully assembled and painted. I'm sure that others probably have a better way, but if memory serves me correctly that is how I built the the ones that I built. Hope this helps.
  4. I had considered trying foil over plastic for stacks myself, but have never taken on the challenge. Yours look good, I actually thought that they were aluminum.
  5. This thing is awesome!! The plumbing on the chassis is incredible!! Very nice work!
  6. I have admired your work, and I believe that if I had your skills that I would make a new taller grill from scratch, that might give it a more proportionate look, and then if I was satisfied with it, swap them out. If I couldn't make one that I was satisfied with, the only harm would be the loss of time. Just my two cents, but this one is going to be an awesome build either way. I'm looking forward to seeing more!
  7. Very nice! I really like the color! What size diameter are those stacks in scale?
  8. Very nice! This thing is really coming together. I really like the modified hood!
  9. That's not dirt, it is a natural weathering process that I use on most all of my models. L.O.L. Very nice builds!
  10. Nice! Did you scratch build the tractor grill?
  11. Nice Old School Build!!
  12. All impressive builds! The two story Ford is AWESOME!!!
  13. Welcome to the forum and back to building! Good looking Freightliner so far.
  14. I have one of the Jetsonic style light bars. The lenses are clear and would have to be painted amber. It is still in a sealed bag. I checked and my other lightbars are either blue or red. Jetsonic style:
  15. As far as lightbars are concerned, if you are building this one old school, the one that we had as well as many of that day simply had the amber "bubble gum machine" light on top. We replaced ours in the 90's with a short lightbar when we could no longer source parts for the old one. If you decide on a lightbar though, let me know, I may have one.
  16. Very nice! I drove a 69 with a Holmes bed on it for many years where I used to work. I am hoping to build a replica of it one day. It had a 390 that the boss' son built and if you could keep the front wheels on the ground, it would pull whatever you put behind it. Looking forward to seeing more of this one!
  17. Awesome!!! Very nice work!!!
  18. Very nice Roadrunner!!
  19. WOW!!! This thing is incredible!! Did I mention: "WOW!!!!" What else can I say?
  20. A extremely excellent job on one of my favorite car of all time. I like the hubcaps on these cars better than the Magnum wheels that are found on many. A friend of mine has one similar to this one hubcaps and all, but different color, that was his grandpa's. His grandpa turned down $250,000.00 for it several years back, so it is still in the family. These are very sought after cars. You have really captured this one!!
  21. Very nice job! A different take on the Mercury, I like it!
