  1. My kind of build! A Peterbilt with spokes! Very nice job on this one!!
  2. I don't know that I would call mine a "masterpiece," but thanks for the kind words! Nice work on this one!! I like what you have come up with. Interesting story on these truck; climbing hills would be often very slow and sitting right on top of the engine, the heat would build up in the cab so much that some drivers would open the driver's door going up a grade in the summer.
  3. I always thought that Bekins trucks looked sharp. This one is a real beauty! I like the short bumper! Excellent work!!
  4. That is a real beauty! I remember seeing a lot of those C-Cabs on the road, even worked on one or two of them. The shifter felt like a boat oar stuck in a barrel of grease.?
  5. This truck has an inline 6cyl 290 Cummins as already mentioned. The floor board on the passenger side is almost nonexistent.
  6. I usually build a replica, but this one isn’t a replica of any particular truck, so my vision for this thing has changed a dozen times. I think that I am honing the finished product. I never liked the Italeri Cummins. I separated the rocker boxes and done a few other modifications.
  7. Not much; a couple engines, a couple transmissions, some lights and a couple other things.
  8. No problem, they are basically the same cab with a few differences.
  9. Thanks guys! The Western Star cab has some unique features different that differ from the Road Commander. Other than the obvious headlights, grille and step pockets, I’m told that the height of the windshield is slightly smaller on the Western Star. A Western Star cab would make a great build. Someone on here was doing a Western Star cab at one time, but I forget who.
  10. That is a real beauty! You are the master craftsman! I have the mini-me to go with it.
  11. This is the Auslowe version of the KFS kit. It is on the Freightliner chassis. The wheels are from Clint Freeman. The drive tires appear to be 3d printed, I picked them up off of Ebay.
  12. From what I understand CONCO stands for Conventional Cabover. I have a resin one of these that Spaulding made. I hope to build it one day. I’m looking forward to seeing this one done.
  13. Very cool subject and excellent work! It looks awesome!
  14. On the Paystar without a bed I used KFS tires all the way around. It is a four wheel drive. The GMC with the spreader bed is two wheel drive. It has 66” monster truck tires on the rear that I made to look weighted and KFS tires on the front.
  15. Impressive as always! You are going to knock this one out of the park! Looking forward to seeing more!
  16. What if you shorten the breathers a little. Can you get the hood to clear that way?
  17. Thanks Jim!! Thanks Brian!! Thanks for the kind words, but you calling my work inspirational is like da Vinci calling Hannah Barbara’s work inspirational. You are truly the master builder! You mentioned the interior on this one on the WIP thread. It was very crude and didn’t fit very well at all, but it turned out okay. I’m looking forward to seeing yours!
  18. I’m glad that you posted this. I have a couple of 3d models, but have been really concerned about ordering some others. The hydraulic tank on my recent W900 built felt a little rubbery as well. I had considered ordering this kit instead of building the old MTFA cab that I just finished. I’m interested to see this one finished.
  19. Thanks for all of the comments guys! This one is done and Under Glass.
  20. Cool project! I built one of these a few years back with a spreader bed and one with no bed. It looks like yours is going to be a lot nicer than mine were. Beautiful work on the Detroit! Looking forward to seeing more!
  21. This began with a Model Truck and Fire Apparatus cab. It was very heavy and needed a lot of grinding. It is still so heavy that I had to reinforce the front axle with a metal rod to keep it from cambering the front wheels. Thanks to Charles Rowley for the decals. Overall it turned out okay.
  22. Thanks Chris! Thanks!! My wife calls it red too, Tamyia calls it orange. I guess it is somewhere between.? Thanks Jeff!! I actually built a case for this one. Thanks Brian!!
