  1. Here's what I'm thinking Keith.
  2. I've been working on this for a while now and just got it finished. It's a 1/8 scale scratch built prototype of a Chevy inline six. I've wanted one since I got into big scale and since it didn't exist I made one.
  3. The car & girl are real, everything else is photoshop.
  4. I'm not a Porsche fan but you've done an excellent job on this one. Clean build and very realistic looking.
  5. Latest incarnation of the "Never Ending Diorama".
  6. Yes it is. I had to do a little modification and make a base manifold but it worked nicely. MM's are great for parts bashing. The intakes are very close to 1/8 and the wheels & tires are 1/12. I even used a set of ladder bars on a 1/8 gasser.
  7. Rex - The 409 came from "rgondeck", a talented builder, caster, custom decal maker & moderator at www.largescalemodeler.com Deuce - the track nose is from an old Lindberg "Custom T" kit. Hawk models is repopping the Lindy line and it will be available again in 2008.
  8. I use black & white automotive "trunk splatter paint" that is sold in auto parts stores. Paint the base flat black, then the splatter paint, then dust with the flat black from about two feet away. It gives it a texture and looks real. Here's a pic.
  9. It's a 409 with 85 Vette FI.
  10. I think it turned out pretty good too. I like the fender tip paint accents.
  11. Look's good. I built a 1/8 deuce flip nose last year only I used the track nose on it. It was a fun project.
  12. Only if there's scantily clad lingerie models holding the model cars to distract your eyes from some old fart in his skivies.
  13. Cummins beige engine paint can be found at most auto parts stores. Dupli-Color makes a wide range of OEM automotive finishes. I've never had a problem with it hurting the plastic either.
  14. Clean build and nice graphics. How hard was it to graft the 57 nose to the 55 body ? Got any engine pics or is it curbside ?
  15. I took a Lindberg T frame and Z'ed it (not an easy task) stuck some bigs & littles with spun aluminum disk caps on it and did a mock up. She is now called "Po White Trash" and will be trimmed out in Boneville XXO trim.
  16. Beautiful workmanship. Saw your Diamond T in Atlanta last year and you are definately in a class of your own.
  17. I know it's been a long time but I got another piece done in the dio. A 1/8 cutting torch and tanks. The tanks The finished product
  18. Birds, squirrels & chipmunks. They live in the attic of my shop and make all kinda noise.
  19. I've been waiting two years since I first heard rumors of Hawk coming out with the Lindberg 1/8 scale Tall T. I bought two yesterday and the first thing I did was take a saw to it. I had a Lindy rolling chassis so I mocked up a four door sedan. It will take some time to get everything lined up but I had to do it. Wish me luck.
  20. I LOVE IT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I opened the kit and was like a kid at Christmas. There are so many extra parts from the T roadster kit included just because they were on the same sprue. The directions have them X'ed out but they are in the box. The body is two piece split at the beltline. Not a problem because you can fit the floor through the bottom and build the interior through the windows, that is if you don't chop it. I say this because there are noticeable seams if the two body pieces are painted seperately. This kit is perfect fodder for alteration, but will build very nicely right out of the box if you take into consideration it is a Lindberg. Buy this kit even if all you want is the body !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Pics of box contents here http://www.largescalemodeler.com/gallery/s...7&ppuser=10 PS, The seats are GREAT !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  21. Beautiful workmanship and great pics. I'll definately read the tutorial.
  22. Vicadin, Schmicadin, Tell the docs you want Dilaudid or Demerol. While you're having visions of show rods you might come up with some build ideas. Good luck and good health.
  23. Excellent work. Where did you find the tiny mesh for the air cleaner ?
  24. Good start, I like the black wheels and skinny whites.
  25. She's pretty hot for a lady her age, heh heh heh.
