  1. Evidently I will have to dig it out. I want to get it out to take pictures and it wasn't where I thought it was. Hopefully I'll be able to find it
  2. It might just be my OCD but I remove all parts from sprues, glue everything together that's going to be painted the same color and sand down every seam on every part and then I put them on scrap sheets of cardboard with tape and paint them let it dry flip them over paint the other side except for car bodies where I put them on a paint stand. Those I'm getting older I'm getting a little less concerned about all the same marks on parts that are not going to be visible unless you pick up the model and examine it which almost never ever do once it's complete.
  3. I have a built one that's not a horrible glue bomb. It's available for trade. If you're interested let me know and I'll take some pictures. Stuff I would be interested in as a trade would be Chrysler slant 6 engines, non-stock intake setups or intakes and carbs and stacks from Sprint car kits. Any type of side draft Weber carb setup. As far as complete kits Go the only complete kit I'm really looking for is one of the modern style four-door chargers but would consider any offer
  4. Looking for intake and the four two barrel carburetors and headers for milner's 32 Ford coupe. I've seen that the intake was available in the 63/64 Riviera kit but I'm not sure. Also looking for the license plate decals. Have lots of stuff to trade including some resin and photo etch. Thanks in advance
  5. I've been meaning to ask this question for a very long time. I see lots of modelers painting their parts while they're still attached to the sprue. Doesn't that mean though that when you remove it from the screw you have to touch up the little spots the paint didn't cover? To me that seems like it would be much more time efficient to remove the parts from the sprue and paint them that way. Thoughts?
  6. Thanks for replying. I actually want one with the clear body not the red clear
  7. Are any of y'all familiar with Mr Norm's ghost charger funny car kit? I have a guy trying to sell me one for a large sum of money as he says it's very rare because the body is molded and clear red. I've only seen those with the body in plain clear. Anybody know if they actually made any molding and clear red?
  8. When I attempted to reply to my last personal message I got a message saying that all of my messenger space was used up. How do I free up messenger space? When I click on the three lines in the upper right corner I do not see anything at all concerning messages.
  9. does the 57 roth version have the parts for opening doors, trunk?
  10. anybody know which issues of the tri 5 chevies had opening doors-really looking for a newer issue that still has the parts for opening doors-dont care if doors are precut...tia

  14. just got this kit. seller listed it as a chrysler 300 but is says new yorker on sides. its a johan-has 1960 on molded in license plate. google didnt have anything for a 60 new yorker or 300 model kit. any info appreciated. would glass from 60 desoto fit?
  15. all the above plus if its been painted i soak them in easyoff overnite, this does nothing to the glue but CAN cause parts to separate that were painted before gluing.
  16. anybody know if the recent issue of 64 wildcat has the custom parts that were in the amt customizing issue?
  17. over the years ive found this site to be the best, no snobbiness, genuine appreciation of others work and seems guys here are always willing to help out with parts, etc. ive both given n received stuff for free here.
  18. facebook...im selling all my builts except for a few and all my unbuilts except for about 30
  19. as i live in the bootheel of missouri i have very little contact with modelers in person and have never entered any models in anything other than a local walmart contest 40 years ago so its mainly thru the internet. today i sold a built model of al vanderwoude's flying dutchman funny car to his son don. this is very gratifying to me as ive never had a model accepted by one of the magazines and dont enter contests. i guess im tootin my own horn but i dont want this post to be viewed as such; rather just a guy in the middle of nowhere sharing a positive moment in his modeling life.
  20. in july i was told by hl mgr that in august there would be a company-wide reset of model kit/supplies area
