  1. what type silicon did you use? did u use lighter to melt styrene rod into mold?
  2. would you be interested in trading the kit minus tires?
  3. bucket list: 1 buy hemi orange superbird with 426 hemi at barrett-jackson and watch the millionaire car collectors clutch their chests as I smoke the tires in the parking lot!! 2 install new rear tires...repeat!!
  4. my memory is unreliable but I seem to remember life cereal having cars as premiums(maybe mail in) that you assembled in the early 70's...any info appreciated
  5. I know absolutely nothing about 3d printing so if this is a dumb question, please answer anyway: is it possible to have sets of different items such as a set with 1 vice, I grinder, I drill, I welder, I generator, 1 trash can, etc. I would buy some of the stuff but as an example I don't need 4 vices. thanks.
  6. I had a 71 mpc roadrunner that had decals on the bare yellow plastic and nothing short of sanding worked...
  7. if its an old, old build soaking will probably not work...easy off will work if there is paint under the decals, otherwise you mite have to sand them off.
  8. well if I hit powerball im buying one of the 6 and im driving it on the street!!
  9. over the past 20 years ive had conversations with revell, lindberg/hawk and Shelby motorsports about a full detail Shelby Daytona PLASTIC kit and the bottom line is it will never happen due to Shelby motorsports wanting a kings ransom for the license...at least that's what I was told by the guys I spoke with. once I even tried to start a write in campaign to Shelby and revel and there wasn't much interest. I finally bit the bullet for one of the hrm kits.
  10. thanks...what kit did you use for chassis/engine, etc?

  20. search ebay for WRAPPING WIRE...u can get lifetime supply for 5 bucks or so
  21. the ole chebbies never die..looks ready for some mud.
  22. even though I cant stop myself I do not need to trade for more kits...lol. not sure if im physically able to box/ship a bunch of kits...that's y im not on ebay though I may consider it.
  23. im trying to figure out what to do with my kits after im gone...im in bad health. the idea of the kits going in the trash disturbs me...my son says he will keep the built ones but neither him or my daughter have any interest in trying to sell them on ebay. we live in a very rural area bout 180 miles south of st Louis and 90 miles north of Memphis. there are very few modelers in this area. ive told my son to donate them to the model car museum but I don't think he will want to pay shipping. boy scouts are almost nonexistent in this area-there are no youth clubs, etc. I would prefer they end up with people who would build them. any thoughts? ive contacted a few vendors but im so far from them that shipping would make it not worthwile...in other words they only want to pay a fraction of what the kits are worth and after shipping I might lose money.
  24. being a petty fanatic I have 9 builts and 4 or 5 unbuilts...this is the only one I have pics of. its a phantom-what if nascar hadn't restricted winged cars so much and they were used in 71...based on the mpc kit that had the wing and nose...dual level wing is due to seeing some test cars like this...even saw opne with 3 levels
