  1. Hey, bud!, I have some Fujimi Upgrade spokes that I got a loooooong time ago that are actually really good! You probably already know this, but I have an issue with PE spokes. Too many people condemn the plastic ones saying that they're unrealistic. In this hobby, quite often you have to pick which looks of realisms you want......you CANT have them all....especially the smaller the scale.....1/24 included. To the afore mentioned I say that spokes ARENT flat. I don't know when I will get to it, but my Protar is gonna be a roadster one day!...lol
  2. Now that the new...better straps are done, its time to klean-off all the dust, and fingerprints so that I can do the photos, and post my Finished video on youtube; Scale Models and Figurines!!…..thanks everyone for following this long build!, I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I hope that it helped you be able to build yours!!
  3. Thanks, bud!!….very much appreciated!!
  4. WOW.....THANKS, Curtis!!!....glad you like it!!
  5. That actually looks great too!!
  6. I have all those kits too.....minus the Gunze, lol Even though the Protar has bits that are too squared off, I really like that kit!!…..PE wires cant even compare to the plastic spokes in that kit!!...they are insane!!!. and even though that Ferrari is a kit-car, it DOES make for a lovely roadster!!!.....I might be doing that in the future!, unless you are...…..buckle up again, Alex!!!..lol
  7. I know its gonna get there, but its not ready for me yet....
  8. That's too funny, bud!!! Its great stuff!
  9. Thanks, Randy!!
  10. Cant convince me that 3D parts are worth it yet......its causing ALOT more work at this point. What good is all that detail, when it looks like it has barnicals growing all over it? "It has THE best details"......until you sand all that junk off it......I think it would be great for things that need a texture, like Hemi valve covers, Ferrari F-40 dash+seats, grippy steering wheels, or even suede leather....
  11. I hear you on that, bud!....looking forward to seeing yours!!
  12. Well, everyone, I test fitted the straps, and discovered that the rear buckles are a bit too thick. I built them realistically which equated three layers of tape, and that was two too many. I have two options as I see it; 1) redo them, but utilize the impressionistic technique to get them done, or carefully notch-out the door sill -NOT happening. Here you can see how the rear is affected, but the front...not so much. At any rate, they will all have to match, so I will be redoing them shortly today.
  13. Thanks a lot, Justin!!….I cant even remember everything about it anymore.....I have to go back and look at my own WIP photos....lol
  14. Thanks, Tommy!!...probably...lol, its magic!!
  15. This is so sweet!!!....could even be a Batmobile!!
  16. LOL!!
  17. LOL!, are you building it in the near future?! ….this will be the next one I do...
  18. Well everybody, all I have to do now is attach these straps after I add the screws to the shiny bits, then attach the mirrors, and she will be DONE!!!! -Photo 1; I used masking tape, and scrap PE bits to make the straps, then shot them up with the interior leather kolor. -Photo 2; To replicate the metal clasps that hold them down, I used my trusty canopy glue again. With the same way tiny water drops hold a symmetrically smooth contour, so did the glue. Brushing it on with the intention of leaving a drop behind, it left the exact contours I needed, now once its dry, I can paint them. -Photo 3; Here they are all painted up. If you look closely at the real car, you can see that the straps attached to the buckles is actually black, and only the loops are interior colored leather. All that's needed to do to these, is to add the PE screws to the shiny bits, and attach them to the car! -Photo 4; Yes, its yet ANOTHER use for my canopy glue! To help locate, and hold the door struts in, I added a tiny amount of glue to both ends of the struts. It will dry clear, and it will grip good!
  19. Justin, I wont be grumpy at all, because I mostly admire how its built.....not necessarily the kolor used....lol
  20. Kurt, and Alex, you guys are funny!!!
  21. I love this kolor, bud!!….this kit/car is great!!, I will do mine in yellow. I WILL be following this!!!
  22. I wonder if its because RED makes him angry?.....if its the guy I think you're talking about, his favorite car company is Lamborghini!....or so I've heard
  23. Here, we RARELY see ANY jeeps in the ditches, but as you stated, lots of SUV's, trucks.....mostly truck people, who think that they can still do anything, forgetting I guess, that they are too light in the rear-end, and thus have uneven weight distribution, which doesn't go well with ice, snow, or quick changes in steering, braking, and accelerating. Jeeps rule!! I am NOT one of those idiots who thinks I am untouchable in my 4WD. All it does, is gives you BETTER ….not complete control. In fact, even though my jeep is pretty darn tough, that doesn't mean I should hit every pothole I see, or abuse it just because it can take it. I swerve all the horrible spots in the road I can, because to me, having a vehicle like this, is to be able to handle rough environment when you HAVE to. If its all beat-up from stupid, irresponsible driving, it WILL fail you when you really need it......no matter what you drive.
