I appreciate everyones input, but after watching numerous videos on all the various types of window treatments, I've decided to go with the complete Tamiya polishing compound kit. The video I saw of it being used, was the only one that showed it being masked over and painted. It looked great! Thanks for this suggestion, maltsr!, I use to use Micro Mark, but have had inconsistent results with it, so I decided to look elsewhere.

Mega Hobby, The Model Cave, maybe even Omni Models. If I remember right, The Model Cave has 20% off their kits ALL the time too. -

Agreed!, another example would be; someone could have the best polished finish on his/her model, but the detail and assembly of it could still be rubbish in comparison.....happens ALL the time. Its like in bodybuilding, you may have the biggest/best developed upper body, but if you have "Tinkerbell" legs, you will get your ass beat by the guy whose smaller, less developed, but MORE symmetrical than you. Symmetry, and balance of modeling skills should be the winner every time, but is not always the case unfortunately. -

I have a situation where I have windows with the trim molded into them......hate this kind. they are scratched, and need to be polished, but heres my problem; if I polish them, will I be able to paint the flat black trim, or will the paint refuse to stick? I hate polishing clear parts, so usually I keep buying the same kit until I get a clear window, but i'm trying to calm that habit down. the polishes I have, are: Micro Mark System, and the Turtle Wax Headlamp Repair Kit. I.ve heard that Tamiyas Modeling Wax works great on clear parts, but can I apply paint over it? If you can shed some light on my situation, it would be much appreciated!!

We have a BIG two stage beast as well, with self propelled forward, and reverse...both with multi-speeds, although, the fastest reverse speed is still too slow for me...lol. it also has electric start, and is one-hand operational.

Nice!....Here, we get dumped-on, then it melts....freezes.....causes tons of accidents, dumps on us again.....then we start the whole process all over again -weird winter.

now that is UBER KALT!!!! -I was going to do something similar to mine!.......thin tyres up front, tubbed in the rear with fat M/T Sportsmans, and wheelie bar. But no engine. Great job on this!!! -
