  1. To do my ceramic brakes, I first paint them with Hot Rod Gray primer, then add a Tamiya black panel line wash, and then (like you), rub graphite onto the rotors with a semi-stiff brush. Oh, I have templates made so that I can scratch build the Pagani floormatts as well.......I will use the photo-etch Pagani emblem on these too.
  2. Thanks, I have the photo-etch set for this as well, but now days, I only like to use them when the part is missing, in the wrong scale, or needs to be stronger. I will be adding the "Pagani" photo-etch emblems to all the speakers, and tail-end of the transmission. I will also be scratch building, and hooking up the brake fluid bottle, coolant overflow tank, and the little silver canister next to the brake booster. I didn't use the photo-etch brake rotors since the plastic ones were great, so since there was 0 detail on the back sides, I used them there instead. I also scratch built brake calipers for the back sides. I don't like carbon fiber decals.....they still look out of scale to me, so I simulated with metallic paint. I never airbrush.....I like rattle cans, and I mask EVERYTHING. Also, I will be using photo-etch bolts for all the interior parts, instead of paint.
  3. I haven't been able to work on models in a while, so i'm still working on my Pagani. This is also the first time I've ever posted here as I build. This kit has modelers nervous since no one has been able to make everything fit together. I was going to wait and make a video, but at the rate I build, I wouldn't be helping very much. The way this model builds up out of the box, only gives you two options; 1) leave parts off just so you can close everything (not very well), and 2) glue everything in the "open" position. I'm 99.9% sure that I can make everything function as expected, in fact, i'm going to be ADDING a lot of details as well. My Pagani will be totally wired up as much as photos will show. I hope I can help others build this kit the way it should be......thanks for looking in.
  4. Hi, Slusher!, so do I.....This Airwolf kit is amazing!!....besides a heck of a lot more detail, it has the right shaped nose, nose scoop, and end-caps to the wings. It also comes with a TOTALLY detailed rear computer room area, with tons of decals!!....two VERY detailed pilots, AND, a completely extra body molded in clear plastic!!!!.....oh, and I forgot to mention the fully articulating display base!!!
  5. The new Cherokee also has the worst depreciating rate of all cars in the US.....it loses 75% in three years!!! real jeeps, i.e., Wranglers & the original Cherokees STILL hold higher value!!, and in some cases, appreciate in value!
  6. That's a great idea!!!......your Cherokee is "killer" too!....cant get enough of them!...this is my third one. First was an 84/85.....you know, the one with parts from three different manufacturers...NIGHTMARE!!, second was an 98.....fully loaded, I had a green light crossing a 45 mph intersection, and one of those "fake" Mustangs(mid 2000's), blew the red light at 70mph, and hit the front of my jeep. Witnesses said that I rolled three times, but I landed butter-side up, with the engine still running. I put it in park, shut it off, and got out. Then I went over to see the other driver to kick the F'n BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH out of him, but he was laying unconscious on the pavement. Didn't know til the next day, while trying to do barbell curls, that I had a "walking concussion". That jeep really kept me safe....along with God.....woulda been a great safety commercial!
  7. OH ya!!!......NICE!!!! next for me is a JCR front bumper with a "stealth Winch", and a 50" LED lightbar. I'm glad you left your side molding on.......just looks better! I finally have to redo my headliner this year also....lol. I agree, THESE and all the Wranglers ARE the ONLY real jeeps left. My fellow jeep friends and I call the Grand Cherokees: "Grand Cherojunks"!
