Any of you guys seen this before?
locoengr replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Warped heads? But i suppose that would cause it to leak coolant into the oil? So I'm probably way off. It sucks to go through all this work and $$ and not cure the problem. This is why, years ago, that I stopped laughing at all the cars on the side of the road (from manufactors that I did not like) that were broken down. I finally started thinking, "that could be me someday!" Karma!! Good luck!! -
Man I love this build! In my wildest dreams I would love to build something maybe, just maybe, half this nice....

A1 all the way and stands behind his product 110 %. You will be very happy. -
Does anyone know what this kit is worth? Box looks to be in fair condition. All the parts are there. I don't want an answer "whatever someone is willing to pay." Just an honest opinion on approximate value. TIA!! Bruce

Fantastic build Tim! On a real truck with twin steering axles, would the second axle turn at a lesser degree than the front axle in order to not put undue pressure on the frame, at the second axle? Always wondered but never got around to asking. TIA Bruce in Fargo

That is an absolute great build! For me the one thing that really sets it off is the HazMat placards. Your attention to detail and building skills are fantastic. How long did it take to put together? One more thing, you need to enter this in a contest, it is very deserving. -

"bump" means the topic is being 're-freshed' and brought back to the top of the page of the forum. It brings it back to peoples attention.... Hope I didn't totally screw up the deffinition!? -
Am I missing something?

Where did you find the pic of the Model store? I love it and sure wish those days would return! Bruce Ps...sorry, not trying to hijack this thread.... -
I think you found yourself a nice WIP. Do you have all the parts? I have the Mercury chopped kit but have not had the guts to work on it yet. I'm waiting for my skills to improve. But this with a pearl blue with purple flames would look nice!

How about finding a 1/32 diecast semi and/or trailer and use those wheels?

NOTHING in the world compares to holding the first child for the first time. Congratualtions! Moving to the basement...now you can have have a "man cave" as that is where my build area is. I love it down there. Back to the baby....hearing that little heartbeat is the greatest. Best of everything to you, the wife and your little one Eelco. -
Thank you sooooo much for what you are doing for us Clay. I will pray for your safe return home to your family and friends. Take care!! Bruce in Fargo

Would the wheels from a 1/32 (or same approx size) monster truck diecast work? Speaking of 'work' , I love the work you have posted here. Outstanding!!

I have a couple of these kits. However they are unopened so I do not know the quality, yet. Price wise I believe you did well. Welcome back to building! -

Looks like many a ride that a might have had a ride in. Funny though how dependable some of these cars were, -20* and they would always start. Plus alot of them were "fill 'em with oil and check the gas." Never had to worry about weather/hail, door dings from idiots in parking lots. Left the keys in it, some didn't even need a key, as no one would steal it. But, I'm rambling....Great job on this one!! Bruce in Fargo
