Considering Chevrolet was already up to 327cid by 1962 , and the Falfa '55 was "Bad ASS." it would figure he had something a little more, I.E. a "W" motor, more than likely a 348.
Growing up in that era I had several friends with "W" motor '55's, all 348's, they fit right in and remember, if some is good, more is better, and too much would be just about right.
The MPC kit is a spin off of their old "Switchers" series. As for the "crazy Man-A-Fre 4-corner manifold", the kit did indeed have an inline dual four barrel set up. If you want the Man-A-Fre all you need is the bottom manifold of an early ('63-'67) Corvette fuel injection ( looks quite convincing) with the appropriate two bbl carbs. The Man-A-Fre was a direct port induction, with the carb openings right above the intake ports in the head much the same as the Corvette FI. Just turn the carbs front to back.
Happy Birthday 1947 for me. Here's my present to you:
I did successfully build one of these back in the day.
Here's a few more . . .
and the Chevys . . .
That's it, and what a kick.
Waiting for a new battery install at the local Sears store back in the day ( Life Time Batteries )
A man standing next to me looking at the three two set up when his wife comes up. "What's that ? "
" I don't know. But I bet it runs like a striped ass ape."
I had three two's on a '60 El Camino 283 four speed, most fun ever with a car. Oh yea " They're really NOT hard to synchronize." No "synchronize" to it. Just select where you want the last two to kick in.
