  1. Just saw this on line http://www.autoweek.com/article/20140130/NASCAR/140139985?utm_source=Alert20140130&utm_medium=enewsletter&utm_term=missedarticle1&utm_content=20140130-NASCAR-confirms-overhaul-of-Sprint-Cup-Chase-for-the-Championship-format&utm_campaign=awAlert
  2. I counted the mention of no less than 12 different magazines on the first page alone.
  3. not to worry, It will be moved sooner or later . I thought we were talking about magazines too.
  4. What happened to Motor Trend Classics ? Did it die again?
  5. Hot Rodding used to be about things you could afford. The articles in most issues are way beyond any normal persons budget, much less knowledge. Nice article in the last Hot Rod Delux on Lincoln brakes. Good detail shots for model builders too.
  6. You might reconsider, and look at the Revell 1/12th scale kits. 1957 Chevrolet, 1967 Corvette, 1969 Camaro / Foose Camaro. lots of parts ,easy build, many options.
  7. Just thought I'd share this with you : https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=95aLCim37l4

  9. California thinking of dropping "Black Plate" program, not enough interest. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/01/23/california-black-plate-program-still-at-least-1780-orders-short-of-implementation/?refer=news Seems like a real potential for revenue for a state on the down and outs. Take what you can get. I'm sure once the word gets out more will take part. Brings up the question, does your state have a licence plate program for older vehicles ? As I understand it, California had a program ( one of the first I believe) allowing "year of Manufacture". , basically you could find old plates in good condition of the same year as your vehicle and register them to use on your older vehicle as long as the number/letter combination didn't coincide with anything currently in use. They have this program here in Arizona.
  10. My good friends Flip n' Ollie
  11. Great idea, what took so long? http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2014/01/24/shelby-cobra-daytona-becomes-first-vehicle-on-national-historic-vehicle-register/?refer=news Interesting article from Hemmings Wonder how this will affect the collector car community since buildings on the National Historical Register are scrutinized quite a bit to the extent that it takes a really big committy to do much to them, i.e. restoration, painting, changing anything.
  12. How about a sports car series ? 1) MGA 2) Triumph TR 3 3) Austin Healey 3000 4) Triumph TR 4 5) and round it out with a new AC Cobra roadster
  13. Don't Forget the IMC / Testors Ford (GT 40's etc https://www.google.com/search?q=1947+ford+model+kits&espv=210&es_sm=122&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ei=cUfdUrXqBaGIyAHW6oGoBQ&ved=0CAkQ_AUoAQ&biw=1600&bih=775#q=imc+ford+gt+model&tbm=isch&imgdii=_ ) kits. What ever happened to this kit ? Will it ever see the light of day again?
  14. But what about removing the side trim ? it has been mentioned as a bug-a-boo as far as not much fun.
