  1. Back in the day, , they had a bunch of cheaper entry level kits. I think something like this would help the hobby. Something a little more than snap kits.
  2. Yeah, I know never say never. Some of these have certainly been shot down for ever, but a few could possibly be resurrected.
  3. Will we ever see any of these kits again? Seems like one shot was all we got on these. Didn't they sell well ? Are there any other one shot kits you wonder about?
  4. What are some of your favorite old kits that are no longer made?
  5. wouldn't like an El Camino on the Revell '60 Impala chassis because El Caminos were built on station wagon chassis.
  6. 1960 El Camino, come on AMT, You already have the '59, should be easy.
  7. What I've read , is that this was an end around, to skirt license issues.
  8. Now how did those sneak in there ? You are correct Snake. I wasn't paying attention.
  9. Good one. But as you pointed out, a little bit of work required. I've done a flip front on the Monogram '40 Ford Pick Up a few times with that full fender treatment. I found it challenging to get it to clear the body.
  10. Let's not confuse these reissues with those from MPC and Monogram, totally different kits albeit the same '29 Model A. And we know the monogram kits started with the "Blue Beetle" and ended with their "Blue Bandito"
  11. I could only find a few variations on the Orange Crate.
  12. styromaniac said : You certainly nailed the topic at the top of the thread with the "Tweedy Pie" and all its variations. How about the "Orange Crate"...think it was re released under the moniker "Chopped Deuce"...or something like that. Basically the same kit with a couple of minor tweaks...headlight shapes being one of them. And Revells classic '29 Model A Roadster / Cab pick up kit ....re released under the "Rat Rod" name...with wide white walled bigs and little for tires.
  13. Did someone say reissues ? Then they just go to town year after year, like so many model companys, gotta make the bucks.
  14. First up with another version, their Coupe / Pick Up kit
  15. Now here's the deal, AMT is giving you something a little fiddely with that flip front, but any good modeler worth his salt can get that sucker lined up a lot easier than all that thin watch out it'll break stuff Revell is giving you and good luck with those doors. Plus yer gettin a pretty good rendition of a period Blown Olds V8 that will fit right in most of those old Trophy kits with the interchangeable engines,
