  1. You are correct Goch.
  2. Have you ever opened one of these kits up ? They are to die for. More detail than you can shake that proverbial stick at.
  3. There is a single muffler and pipes molded into the chassis.
  4. looks like there's lots of potential. Even with a different body' I think as we grow older and look back at our modeling experiences we might see where some of these lapses might come from. 1967 I just got a degree in Automotive Technology and was moving on to a university for a degree in secondary Education, so a few other things on my mind other than modeling. 1969 saw me off to the Navy for four years overseas and no real connection with the US model manufactures, but oh what a treasure in the Japanese kits and the Yen favored the US Dollar. In the process I missed out on all those 1/16th scale Racing Scenes Kits from Aurora.
  5. So I didn't watch Leave It To Beaver that much ? This isn't my first rodeo as far as car stories go. Here's a little more on the George Lucas aspect. http://kipsamericangraffiti.blogspot.com/2010/11/yanking-your-chain.html
  6. Congratulations on a great show Dano.
  7. Parts Pack chassis ? https://robdebie.home.xs4all.nl/models/partspacks.htm
  8. yeah, guess we talked about this before. http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/topic/75003-heres-an-interesting-artical-on-revells-miss-deal-funny-car/ Still, thinking about where I was at in '67 I just don't remember the kit back then/
  9. Just got to taking a close look at the Revell Miss Deal Studebaker kit and noticed the copy right date, 1967. Is really that old ?
  10. When I posted that there wasn't anything new. I thought it was time to start a new thread fresh with current news, Oh well, lets stretch that thread out ad nauseum.
  11. Can't find anything here. Revell USA no longer exist . ROG (Revell of Germany) the sole owner of all Revell molds. What's going on ? Hopefully some one here in the know will enlighten all of us.
  12. Lucas didn't rip it off. It's an old gag that's been around for awhile. I remember my uncle talking about it long before Leave it to Beaver.
  13. Lots of good ideas to get started, thanks Alan
  14. You sure that wasn't American Graffiti you're thinking about ?
  15. Wally didn't miss a lick either. Though he didn't have anything left to buy parts after his $25 purchase. I remember all the guys crowding around with all kinds of ideas you could never afford too.
  16. I remember my high school days '61-'65, a lot of my friends had cars like that. Two brothers had a '41 coupe with a hopped up flathead Merc. the other had a '41 todor with a flathead we put a dual two carb manifold on. Best friend a '46 coupe he painted orange. None the less ol Clarence sure looks proud of his ride.
  17. Looks like they were really having fun.
  18. I'm thinking a Deuce kit , giving me the option to do something (HotRod) with the rest of the kit, depending on whether or not the 1/18th vs 1/20th thing will work. or the possibility someone has something that might work banging around in their parts bin.
  19. I've got a project going on for my first car, a 1931 Model A Ford fordor sedan based on a Hubley 1/20th scale metal kit. The problem being, i need some 16" Deuce ( or other suitable year) wheels to replicate what I had back in the day. Again, back to the problem, the only thing I think would be available would be from a 1/18th scale diecast car. Would these be convincing enough? (1/18th vs 1/20th ?) and where could I source them from?
