  1. Thanks everyone for the warm welcome
  2. no engine detail :/ but I scored a Revell 2jz from their fast and furious supra kit a few weeks ago on eBay so I'll be modifying it to fit it in there. I also just received some turbos from hobby detail to do a proper big single turbo conversion on the 2jz so I'm pretty excited!
  3. This came in the mail today for me ?
  4. I'm definitely interested in this...where is it going to be found? Under contests?
  5. Appreciate that Jim. Thanks for your service. Yeah, I know CA glue got on my nerves real bad with my AMT Chrysler big block I built for a project a few weeks ago.
  6. I come from a racing background...here are my two previous cars...06 xterra daily with 4" lift and 33" A/T tires and a 03 Miata (This was my 4th Miata) with Megan Racing coilovers, XXR wheels, home made exhaust and intake and some aero. And my car now...the first FWD I pretty much ever owned...a 08 MazdaSpeed 3 with intake, Eibach Pro Kit springs, and a tune. Makes 287 whp and 291 wtq. She's gonna get fender flares and some meaner wheels/tires and some aero stuff this year. Power-wise I'm fine with it, I don't want to get in any trouble with the PD.
  7. Thanks Mike. Ah man, I may just tint them then. I finally got the right glue for it, but even when applying the smallest amount, it goes white. It's annoying.
  8. Welcome!! I'm new too and I'm in the exact opposite shoe than you. I gotta slow myself down and work on more detail and whatnot. I tend to push through a build in a 2-4 day period and once it's done I'm like..."Hm I could've done the interior better...or I could've wired up the engine instead of building it box stock" etc etc.
  9. Welcome dude! I'm also blown away by today's details on models. Looking forward to seeing your creations
  10. P Harvey - Thanks man. I used to race too. (Well, I used to autocross, and then I got into drifting and I did that for a couple years while on active duty)...thanks for your service and sacrifice!
  11. Thanks Tony and Simon!
  12. How's it going? I'm still active duty (for now), and I'm a huge fan of cars and working on my own cars, but due to an injury last year, I'm limited to sitting or laying down most of the time, which brought me into model cars. I used to build them with my uncle when I was a kid, so I got back into it now. I enjoy imports and I really get into customizing them, but I'll build my fair share of muscle's, trucks, dragsters, and even exotics. It's unfortunate that I can't really work on my own car but I'm glad I found model kits as they're much cheaper and just as much fun (except for not being able to do donuts with them)... Oh...while I'm at it, can someone tell me how to remove glue stain from headlights? I used superglue on my first few models and the headlights look like BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH.
